M8 Microphone Not Working While On Call

Problem: Hello, I have a problem with the mic it is working very good, recording or making call but when I am making a phone call and the speakers are on, the receiver can’t hear me and if I turn off the speaker mode they hear me.. By the way I made a test by recording a voice it was working so please can you help me. P.s I have rooted device. Thanks

Solution: First, make sure that the Bluetooth feature of your phone is turned off when making a call. There are instances when the phone is connected to a Bluetooth device when making a call causing this type of issue.

Next, try to start your phone in Safe Mode then make a call from there. This way you can check if a certain third party app is causing this problem.

  • Press and hold the Power key.
  • On the screen, touch and hold Power off under Phone Options.
  • When the ‘Reboot to safe mode’ message appears, tap RESTART.
  • When the phone restarts it will be in safe mode.

Make a call in this mode. If you can be heard by the called party then the problem you are experiencing may be caused by an app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

If the problem persists try doing a factory reset. Make sure to back up your phone data before proceeding.

  • Tap Power off.
  • Press and hold the Volume Down key.
  • Press and release the Power key to turn the phone on.
  • Continue holding the Volume Down key.
  • Release the Volume Down key when the three Android images appear on the bottom of the screen.
  • Press the Volume Down key twice to move the cursor from FASTBOOT to FACTORY RESET.
  • Press the Power key to perform the master reset.

M8 Calls Get Dropped

Problem: My data network is fine and I can receive voice calls. However any voice calls I try to make keep on getting dropped

Solution: Try to check first if this is a network related issue. Do this by making calls in different locations. This can be at your house, at your work place, or at the mall. If the issue only occurs in only one particular area then this may be a network issue.

You should also check if you are getting enough network signal coverage. If the signal is weak then you are more likely to experience dropped calls.

A restart also helps in this case since it resets your phone connection to the network.

M8 Cannot Hear Calls

Problem: Can’t hear ringing sound when making calls. Other person can hear me when I put on loud speaker but I can’t hear on other side updated the phone but still not working.

Solution: It appears that there may be a problem with your phone internal speaker. Try starting your phone in Safe Mode first to check if this issue is caused by a third party app.

  • Press and hold the Power key.
  • On the screen, touch and hold Power off under Phone Options.
  • When the ‘Reboot to safe mode’ message appears, tap RESTART.
  • When the phone restarts it will be in safe mode.

Make a call and if you can now hear the other party then the issue is most likely caused by an app you installed in your phone. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

If the issue still persists then do a factory reset. Make sure to back up your phone data first before proceeding.

Are you still experiencing the same issue after the factory reset? Then this may already be a hardware related problem. I suggest you bring your phone to an authorized service center for checking.

M8 Call History From Previous Day No Timestamp

Problem: Android version 5.0.1. In my call history, it will only show the time of the call for calls from the same day. When checking a call from a previous day, I cannot figure how to see what time that call was made/received/missed. I had 2 Verizon employees mess with it and they couldn’t figure it out. Is this just a flaw in the phone or am I missing something? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Solution: Before we troubleshoot make sure that you are using the stock phone dialer app. On the phone app swipe right to Call history then select one of the previous calls logged in the list. Press and hold a name or number in the list to display the options then tap view history. You will then be able to view the time the call was logged.

  3. Hi.. am using letv mobile lemax 2 model. Everything’s fine with the mobile. But when speaking a call the persons on the other side of phone are telling either my voice is too low for them to hear. They say they hear my voice sometimes like i was speaking from inside a well or some times it’s too low to hear. Then if i change the mobile to the other ear or bring to close to my mouth, they say it’s fine then. Every other person keeps complaining the same. It’s seriously very annoying. Pls do suggest me how to rectify this. I tried activating and deactivating voice enhancement features, but that didn’t solve my problem. I did a factory reset, no improvement.
