Like other smartphones, the new Samsung galaxy s20 has multiple languages saved in its directory but only one can be set as default. Normally, the very first language in the list is the default. This means that texts on apps and menus are utilizing the language. If an app does not support the default language, it will consider using the next language in the list instead. Easy steps to Change the Default Language on Galaxy S20

Time Needed : 5 minutes

The following steps will walk you through changing the default language on a Galaxy S20 handset. For easier navigation, I’ve also provided the screenshots depicting each step to help you visualize the actual menu or screen to access. Here’s how it works.

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the Home screen to access the Apps screen then tap Settings.

    From the Apps screen, you’ll see different app shortcut icons. Find the Settings app icon then tap to open it. The Settings menu contains a list of main features and options to configure.change default language on galaxy s20 - open settings

  2. Scroll down and tap General management.

  3. Tap Language and input to continue.

  4. Tap Language.

  5. To change the default language to your preferred language, tap the option to Add language.

If you’d like to change the language back to the default selection, just repeat the same steps until you get to the Language selection menu.

To do this, go back to the Language menu then tap the option to Add language. Choose the desired language and region and follow the rest of the onscreen instructions.

To remove a language from the list, just select the language then tap Remove to confirm.
