The following steps will lead you to your Skype profile menu wherein you can edit or add new personal information, contact and location. The information you entered will be displayed on your Skype profile. To ensure privacy and security, posting of sensitive or critical information is strongly discouraged. Here’s how to carry out the entire process.
To get started, open the Skype app.
To access the Skype app icon, swipe up from the bottom of the Home screen of your phone. Doing so will launch the Apps viewer containing various app icons/shortcuts.
From the Skype app’s main screen, tap on your Profile picture.
A list of menu options will then be displayed.
Tap Skype profile.
If you want to change your profile display name, just tap the Edit icon (pencil figure) next to the existing profile name then enter the new name you’d like to use.
After entering the new name, tap Done on the soft keyboard below.
To continue editing other profile information, tap Email.
A quick menu with a few options will be displayed.
Tap Edit.
Doing so will pull up your personal information on the Profile screen.
The information displayed on this screen is what others will see on your Skype profile.
Enter information on the provided text fields that you’d like to fill up or edit then tap the button to Save changes.
Note that there are separate Save changes button for every information category including Personal information, Location and Contact.
Under Contact, you can add a new email address, home and office phone number.

Your profile picture can be made private by specifying who can see your profile picture, particularly by setting it to Contacts only.
Contacts from your profile visibility list can also be removed or hidden. All you have to do is to delete the contact in your profile visibility list.
Another way to manage your personal information on Skype is through purchase history, payment methods, billing information, change currency, credit auto-recharge, redeem voucher and skype number addresses.
After saving all new profile updates, scroll down to Profile settings then select your preferred settings.
Tagged among public information on your Skype account include your Skype name, Skype display name, city, state and county, profile picture, presence status, phone number and birthday. If you don’t wish other people to see any of these details, just leave their field blank.
