- Google and Samsung have teamed up with repair expert uBreakiFix to repair Galaxy and Pixel phones free of cost for frontline workers.
- This will cover practically any damage, even the ones that are not covered by the standard warranty.
- Eligible workers can head over to any of the 500 U.S. locations of uBreakiFix to get their phones fixed.
- This free repair program will be available until the 30th of June, 2020.
While the world is collectively thankful for the frontline workers who are helping us battle the coronavirus, companies like Google and Samsung have extended their thanks in a different way. Starting today until the 30th of June, essential workers can get their Samsung or Pixel phones repaired free of cost. This will cover law enforcement, police officers, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), firefighters, doctors, nurses, pharmacists as well as nursing home and hospital staff.
What’s even better is that this will cover practically any damage on their devices, even those that may not be covered by a standard or extended warranties including water damage, broken screen, and non functional phones. Both Samsung and Google have teamed up with uBreakiFix to cover repairs. Those eligible can simply walk into any of the 500 U.S. locations of uBreakiFix along with their work ID to avail the benefits. To maintain adequate social distancing, uBreakiFix provides carry-in and curbside service as well.
Speaking on its partnership with Google, the VP of Partnerships at uBreakiFix, Eddie Trujillo said:

This is a noble gesture by all parties involved and goes to show that kindness has no limit. These workers who usually stay away from their homes and family to conduct essential duties cannot be thanked enough.
