Method 1: Run the Epic Games Launcher as an administrator

The best way to fix this problem is to run the game launcher as an administrator.

Running the launcher as an administrator

Right click the Epic Games Launcher.
You can find this on the Start menu list of applications.
Click on More then open file location.
This will open a File Explorer window pointing to the location of the shortcut.
Right click the Epic Games Launcher shortcut then click Properties.
This will open its properties window.
Click the Compatibility tab.
This is usually the last tab on the properties window.
Place a checkmark on “Run this program as an administrator”.
This can be found on the Settings section.
Click the Apply and OK buttons.
