Fix Bose Soundlink Revolve Cannot Connect To Bluetooth Device
Bose Soundlink Revolve is a Bluetooth speaker capable of wirelessly receiving audio from Bluetooth enabled devices. Bluetooth devices such as Mobile phone, tablet and computer also receives and transmits signals to Bluetooth receivers such as Bluetooth speakers. Connecting to a Bluetooth device is an easy and simple process, there are instances wherein certain issues can occur such as Bluetooth speaker is unable to pair and connect to a Bluetooth device. In here, we are going to talk about Soundlink Revolve Bluetooth speaker and the recommended troubleshooting methods that you can try to fix speaker unable to connect to Bluetooth device.
What to do if Soundlink Revolve could not connect to Bluetooth device
There are several factors that can this problem to occur such as Bluetooth settings is disabled, connectivity issues where speaker and device is not in close proximity with each other, pairing process was performed incorrectly, an outdated software, and issues with the previously connected Bluetooth device. Listed below are troubleshooting methods to try to fix this problem.

Method 1: Enable Bluetooth settings
Make sure to check Bluetooth settings on device. If Bluetooth is not enabled on the settings, it could not detect the speaker and could not establish a connection. If speaker and device have been paired previously, it will automatically reconnect once Bluetooth settings will be enabled.
To do this:
- Press Power Button to turn on speaker.
- Press and hold Bluetooth Button.
Wait for Bluetooth To blink Blue light
- Once button is blinking blue, release button.
Method 2: Move speaker close to device
Ideally, Bluetooth range for this product is 33 feet or 9 meters. If the distance between Bluetooth device and speaker is more than the recommended range, it will not be able to detect the device and it will not connect to the speaker. Make sure that speaker is in close proximity with the device.
However, Bluetooth range decreases as obstacles such as walls, doors or device that was previously paired to the speaker. Take into consideration these obstacles.
After performing this method, try connecting to Bluetooth device again and then check if the problem still occurs.
Method 3: Check if pairing process is done correctly
It is possible that speaker cannot connect to Bluetooth device because the pairing process was not performed correctly. If pairing is not done the right way, you won’t be able to connect to a Bluetooth device.
There are two options to pair speaker and device, via Bluetooth Button and via Bose connect app
Using Bluetooth Buttons on speaker:
- Press the Power Button to turn speaker ON
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button. Bluetooth blue light starts to blink. This means that Bluetooth is ready to pair
- Locate Soundlink Revolve from the list of available Bluetooth on the device. If speaker is not on the list, click Scan or Search to refresh the list of available Bluetooth.
Using Bose Connect app
Bose connect app is an application that is free to download from App Store or Playstore for your smartphone.
- Click Settings on device
- Click Bluetooth menu
- Toggle ON Bluetooth to enable it.
- Press Power Button on speaker to turn it ON
- Press and then hold Bluetooth button. Bluetooth blue light starts to blink. This means that Bluetooth is ready to pair
- Open Bose connect app on device. Wait for speaker to appear on the list of Bluetooth on the app. If Bose speaker is on the list, click on it to start pairing.
After performing this method, try connecting to device again and then check if the problem still occurs.
Method 4: Delete memory lists of paired Bluetooth devices
Bluetooth speakers can remember several Bluetooth devices that it was previously paired to and once that device is nearby or within range, it will automatically reconnect to that device. However, if there are one or more previously paired devices are nearby, there can be a conflict and can cause this problem to occur.
To fix this, you may need to delete the memory lists of paired devices:
Using Bose connect app:
- Launch Bose connect app. Wait for it to search Soundlink Revolve speaker
- Click on Bluetooth icon located at the lower left
- Click Edit under Connections screen
- Tap the X next to the device to remove it from the list
- Click Disconnect to confirm action
- Click All Done to exit.
Deleting the memory lists of paired devices allows you to create a new memory and from then on it will only connect to the new lists of devices.
After performing this method, try connecting to device again and then check if the problem still occurs.
Method 5: Reboot Device
Rebooting device refreshes the device system and correct minor issues that may have caused connection issues with the speaker. Rebooting the device is pretty simple, you just have to turn OFF the device and then turn it back ON again after a few seconds.
After performing this method, try connecting to device again and then check if the problem still occurs.
Method 6: Check for and install available updates
Checking for and installing available updates fixes bugs that helps fix this issue and other related issues as well. Make sure to periodically check for and install updates if there are any.
To do this, you can do either of the following options:
- Via Bose connect app. An app that is free to download from Playstore or App store for your smartphone
- Via Bose Online Updater found on Bose website. Connect speaker to the computer and just follow the on-screen instruction to check and install updates.
After performing this method, try connecting to device again and then check if the problem still occurs.
Method 7: Reset Bose Revolve
If none of the methods mentioned did not fix the problem with unable to connect to Bluetooth device, you may need to reset Revolve speaker. Resetting speaker clears saved settings and bring the speaker back to factory settings
To do this:
- Press and then hold Power Button for 10 seconds. Release the Button once a flashing blue light appears then a voice prompt will ask you to select a language.
After performing this method, try connecting to Bluetooth device again and then check if the problem still occurs.
