ASUS ZenFone 6 30 Edition Now Available in the U.S.

ASUS doesn’t have a massive presence in the American smartphone market, although it continues to churn out high-performance smartphones periodically. The latest addition to the company’s list is the ZenFone 6 30 Edition (ZS630KL), sporting an unprecedented 30-month warranty as well as priority repair support for hardware related complaints.

ASUS is offering the smartphone through its official U.S. website at a price of $899.99. The company mentions that the phone is compatible with networks like AT&T, T-Mobile, Straight Talk, Walmart Family Mobile, MetroPCS, Simple Mobile, Brightspot, Net10, h20 Wireless, and Cricket Wireless. This phone will not work on CDMA networks like Verizon, Sprint, and US Cellular.

ZenFone 6 30 Edition

In the hardware department, the ZenFone 6 30 Edition comes with a 6.4-inch FHD+ Full View Display (92% screen-to-body ratio), the octa-core Snapdragon 855 SoC, 12GB of RAM, 512GB of internal storage (expandable up to 2TB using the third SIM card slot), and a unique 48MP + 13MP rotating rear camera that can also double as a selfie camera.

There’s a massive 5,000 mAh battery underneath the ZenFone 6 30 Edition with support for Qualcomm’s latest Quick Charge 4.0 standard. Customers will also find a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner on the device. What’s exciting, however, is the fact that the phone also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack accompanied by the company’s ZenEar wired earbuds. So it’s pretty clear that customers will get their money’s worth with this ASUS flagship.

The phone runs a relatively stock version of Android 9.0 Pie with no word on the Android 10 update as of yet. But since it doesn’t have too many OEM-specific customizations, we’re guessing ASUS will be ready with an update shortly. As for the steep pricing, we’ve recently seen phones like the Galaxy Note 10 selling for much higher, so this is barely a surprise.
