Amazon’s 2019 Fire HD 10 Models Officially Available Today
Earlier this month, Amazon updated the Fire HD 10 lineup with a faster processor, a USB C port, and some other handy features. Well, this exciting budget tablet is now up for grabs via the retailer’s site. It was previously available on pre-order and starts shipping out to customers today. The tablet is available in a standard edition and a Kids Edition with parental controls and kid-friendly features on board. Amazon also offers 1 year of Amazon FreeTime Unlimited, a Kid-Proof Case with built-in stand, and a 2-year worry-free guarantee with the Kids Edition Fire HD 10.
Amazon offers a handy discount if you’re getting two Kids Edition tablets together, offering a combined savings of up to $50. This variant is available in Blue, Purple, and Pink colors. The standard Fire HD 10 comes in Plum, Twilight Blue, White, and Black, offering a more neutral selection of colors.
Barring the addition of kid-friendly features as well as the 2-year worry-free guarantee, the two versions share a bulk of the hardware specifications including the processor, the USB C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, as well as Android 9.0 Pie (Fire OS 7). Amazon promises that both tablets offer a battery life of 12 hours, which is significantly better than bigger devices like the 2019 iPad Air. The tablets come with 1080p displays, and while the Kids Edition is only available in a 32GB model, the standard Fire HD 10 also has a 64GB option. This, however, shouldn’t matter much considering the fact that both tablets also support storage expansion via microSD cards.
Amazon offers the tablets in attractive bundles which lets you pick up 15W fast charging adapter at a nominal cost. Be sure to check out the new tablets.
