This is despite the fact that it packs a proper color display. Clearly, the company has put in a lot of work here to improve the efficiency. Moreover, you also get a heart rate sensor onboard here, letting you track your pulse in real time.

So in terms of features, the company has been very mindful of including the latest and greatest on board. The watch also comes with Gorilla Glass 3 to protect its front, while it is also IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. It runs a custom OS, which means you won’t get any of the smartwatch goodness shown off by Google’s Wear OS.

This is a bit of an odd choice on this list, as it is significantly more expensive than the Verge, while it misses out on some key features. But this could be mainly due to the fact that the Verge was released recently while the Stratos has been around for quite some time. In terms of hardware features, you get a 1.34-inch LCD panel here with a resolution of 320 x 300 pixels. This is quite subpar compared to the gorgeous AMOLED display of the Amazfit Verge.

The Stratos also comes with features like GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, as well as Wi-Fi. The company promises that the watch will last up to 5 days of regular use and 11 days of basic use, although there’s still some ambiguity on how both types of uses differ from each other. So it’s clear that Huami used the Stratos as a reference design to create the Verge, and the result is very impressive. But is one smartwatch better or worse than the other? Well, we can’t accurately answer that question since each individual buyer will have a different way of looking at things.

Then there’s the Amazfit Bip, a budget ranged offering that can easily compete with some high-end smartwatches out there. This is also a very interesting choice for customers who aren’t interested in all the health tracking features and merely want their steps counted (for running), and of course, check out the time. Although it packs a relatively smaller display, it helps the company keep the weight down, which means less stress on your arm when you wear it. I also like the color combination of the Bip, which is something that the other two offerings lack.

However, if you already own a fitness tracker and are hard pressed between the Amazfit Stratos and the Amazfit Verge, we strongly recommend you to go with the Verge. This is not only because it’s newer, but also because it costs significantly lesser. Since the Verge is the newer product by Huami, it’s likely to be supported by the company for months to come.

One negative aspect here with all three smartwatches, Amazfit Bip vs Verge vs Stratos is the lack of a proper smartwatch operating system. By using the company’s own custom OS, the smartwatches may not appear alluring to everyone.
