How to Fix Discord Screen Share No Audio
Discord screen share with no audio is a common issue that prevents others from hearing game or application sound during your stream. These fixes will restore audio sharing.
Method 1: Share the Application, Not the Screen
- In Discord, click the Screen Share button in a voice channel.
- Instead of sharing your entire screen, select the specific application window.

- Make sure the app is open before starting the share.

- Scroll to the bottom and click Reset Voice Settings.
- Confirm the reset.
- Restart Discord and try screen sharing again.

- Close Discord completely.
- Right-click the Discord shortcut and select Run as administrator.
- Discord needs elevated permissions to capture audio from some applications.
- Start screen sharing and check if audio works.
Method 4: Disable Hardware Acceleration
- Open Discord Settings > Advanced.
- Toggle off Hardware Acceleration.
- Discord will restart.
- Try screen sharing again — this fixes audio issues on some systems.

- Or close Discord and download the latest version from discord.com.
