How to Fix Discord Screen Share No Audio

Discord screen share with no audio is a common issue that prevents others from hearing game or application sound during your stream. These fixes will restore audio sharing.

Method 1: Share the Application, Not the Screen

  1. In Discord, click the Screen Share button in a voice channel.
  2. Instead of sharing your entire screen, select the specific application window.
  3. Application sharing has better audio support than full screen sharing.
  4. Make sure the app is open before starting the share.

Method 2: Reset Voice Settings

  1. Open Discord Settings > Voice & Video.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and click Reset Voice Settings.
  3. Confirm the reset.
  4. Restart Discord and try screen sharing again.

Method 3: Run Discord as Administrator

  1. Close Discord completely.
  2. Right-click the Discord shortcut and select Run as administrator.
  3. Discord needs elevated permissions to capture audio from some applications.
  4. Start screen sharing and check if audio works.

Method 4: Disable Hardware Acceleration
