- The Nokia 2.3 made its way to the U.S. as a Best Buy exclusive in January.
After launching exclusively via Best Buy in January, HMD Global has now announced the pre-orders of the Nokia 2.3 budget smartphone via online retailer Amazon. The handset isn’t available in the original Cyan Green launched by HMD, as was the case with the Best Buy launch as well.
This means customers will be limited to picking between two colors – Charcoal and Sand. For those unaware of the Nokia 2.3, it’s an inexpensive smartphone that brings all the new features of Android. Moreover, this is an Android One smartphone, allowing the company to offer the latest software updates for a period of two years.
The price tag of $129 is unchanged with this new listing and shipments are expected to commence on February 9. If you’re too eager to get your hands on the Nokia 2.3, you can also head over to a nearby Best Buy outlet to check out the handset.
The Nokia 2.3 comes with a 6.2-inch 1520 x 720 LCD screen, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD), and the quad-core Mediatek MT6761 Helio A22 chipset. In the camera department, the Nokia 2.3 has dual rear cameras on the back consisting of 13MP and 2MP sensors, while the front has a 5MP snapper.
The phone is likely to launch with Android 9 Pie, but an update to Android 10 is reportedly on the horizon. One of its crucial features is the massive 4,000 mAh battery underneath which should keep the device running for a day or perhaps even more.
