S9+ Randomly Shuts Off After Screen Replacement

Problem: hello, i dropped my phone on concrete floor last year and the screen broke causing my phone not to turn on properly, so i had to get the screen replaced with a new one, but there’s one problem occurs which is the phone shuts off randomly and it takes long time to turn on, once it’s on everything works great (including facebook and  messenger apps) but then again in a couple of hours used it shuts off again, can you help me out with fixing my phone? please. thank you. PS: i did the android recovery mode by rebooting the system now and also reset the whole thing to its factory settings, did i do the right thing or wrong thing?

Solution: If the issue still occurs even after a factory reset then the problem is most likely caused by a  faulty hardware component already. If you have a microSD card inserted in the phone then try removing this then check if the problem still occurs. In case it does then I recommend that you bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S9+ Randomly Turning Off If Not Connected To Charger

Problem: I have a Samsung Galaxy S9+. My device was working completely fine and then all of a sudden it turned off. Every time I would turn it on it would shut off about 30 seconds to a minute after turning on. I also noticed during this boot loop cycle that the battery would drop 5-15% every time. When I plugged in the phone to charge it said the battery was at ~10% despite my phone being at ~80% before the issue started. My phone works completely normal when it is plugged in but whenever I take it off charge it turns off 30 seconds later. I tried to calibrate the battery by charging it to 100% while it was off and then turning it on and letting it drain but I couldn’t unplug the phone long enough to let the battery drain. I tried to factory reset my phone and then my phone worked for 12ish hours or so and then the same issues started again. I went to a 3rd party repair shop that was samsung certified (they said that) and they ran diagnostics and said nothing seemed wrong. They did these diagnostics during that 12 hour period where my phone worked fine.

Solution: If a factory reset temporarily fixed the problem previously then I suggest that you try to do it again. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps first in your phone but instead try checking first if the issue still occurs. If it does then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component in  which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S9+ Not Turning On After Charging Overnight Under A Pillow

Problem: Hello, I have a Samsung an S9+. So my phone was charging overnight under the pillow where it was also playing a podcast on a timer (I know this sounds bad). in the morning it was burning hot and off. I waited for it to cool down to normal then tried turning it back on and it wouldn’t and it wouldn’t charge, it would get hot though when the charger is in. I tried the forced reboot methods but they didn’t work. did I completely fry my phone or is there a solution? please help

Solution: It appears that a component in the phone has been damaged due to the heat build up which occured when the phone as placed under the pillow. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S9+ Battery Is Overheating

Problem: Phone was in hot temperature, attempted shutting down after keeping phone in room temp. Phone will not charge , saying battery overheated. Will a new battery fix the problem? It turns on and I have tried getting it on safe mode, which it goes to but turns off immediately.

Solution: The best thing you can do in this case is to start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data. If this doesn’t fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be caused by a faulty battery.
