S8+ Screen Is Unresponsive With Solid Blue LED Light

Problem: my issue is similar to one I read on your site: I dropped my phone (Galaxy S8+) on the ground, screen side down, it did not crack (more thru it already had), but now the phone is mostly unresponsive, with the blue light permanently illuminated. I cannot find the battery release to remove the battery, but the battery did appear to drain, then it charged and when I turned it back on, back to the blue light. sometimes when I try to turn it back on, about 1cm of the left side of the screen flashes white, then goes back to the black screen. I do not have a backup of my data, so I am hesitant to do a factory reset. is there a way to back it up in its current state?

Solution: You can try connecting your phone to your computer with Smart Switch installed then check if you are able to backup your phone data using the software. Once the backup has been completed disconnect the phone from your computer then start it in recovery mode. If the screen works in this mode then you should do a factory reset.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then this is most likely a hardware related issue already possibly caused by a damaged display. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S8+ Screen Is Unresponsive

Problem: Hello I have a problem with my S8 plus touchscreen. The TS stop working occasionally and I have to make a soft reset to start working normally, but some time later it stops working again. It does not accept any gesture. This issue started with the recent software update , then I got a new update again but the issue persists. I don’t know if this has to do with a new battery that i have installed 2 months ago. Can you please help me? What can I do? Best regards

Solution: If this issue started after a software update then the best thing that you can do right now is to start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. If the issue still persists after this then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S8+ Screen Cracked After Drop

Problem: Good morning. I dropped my phone last night. (the screen had a crack already). When I picked it up the screen was only lit in certain places and only shows the colour blue. The drop resulted in a spider-web crack effect on my Samsung screen. The LED light is still. The phone will still charge and make the charging sound. What should I do? Also what are the details regarding the Samsung S8+ warranty? (I also bought the phone in another country; will that create complications regarding warranty and repairing the phone?) I’m looking for the best and cheapest solutions and will decide what to do based on this information.

Solution: In most cases accidental drops are not covered by the phone warranty. The best thing that you can do right now is to have the phone checked at a local service center. It’s likely that they will recommend that the display as well as other components that are defective be replaced.

S8+ Screen Detecting Touch On Its Own

Problem: have bought a secondhand S8+ and the screen keeps jumping from one to another or its as if I’ve pressed the split screen button, it can also pop up saying no apps open before it flips onto home screen, how can I stop this happening? I’ve tried factory reset, phone reset and even entering the blue screen to wipe cache and then reset, nothing seems to work, it also has burn screen which I’m running lcd repair app currently.

Solution: If you have already performed a factory reset and the issue still persists then you will need to have this checked at a service center as it is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component.
