Solved Samsung Galaxy S8 Music Stops Playing When Connected To Bluetooth

The #Samsung #Galaxy #S8 is a flagship phone released last year that redefines the way the company makes their flagship devices. This model now uses a much larger 5.8 inch Super AMOLED display on a body that’s similar in size to its predecessor. This is made possible since the phone no longer has a physical home button. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 835 processor which when paired with its 4GB of RAM allows the phone to run multiple apps smoothly. Although this is a solid performing phone there are instances when certain issues can occur which we will be addressing today. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series we will tackle the Samsung Galaxy S8 music stops playing when connected to Bluetooth issue and other related problems.

S8 Music Stops Playing When Connected To Bluetooth

Problem: Samsung S8, Bluetooth pairs fine and stays connected. However, songs cut in and out. 128GB new memory card, Samsung brand. Phone is current with software updates. Have had phone for around a year . Have had 2017 Kenwood stereo (purchased Sept 2017) swapped out with brand new 2018 Kenwood stereo purchased Sept 7, 2018 and installed both from Best Buy). Stereos had all updates following factory resets. Kenwood stereos bluetooth function works fine with other phones, no cutting in or out. My Samsung S8 works fine with my home bluetooth speaker and in my daughter’s car and in the Best Buy installer’s car.  Help, please!! This is so frustrating!! I do not need the latest phone or another stereo.

Solution: If the problem only occurs when the phone connects to the 2018 Kenwood speakers this is most likely caused by compatibility issues of the firmware of the phone and the speaker. You can do the troubleshooting steps listed below to fix this problem.

  • Check if the issue occurs in Safe Mode. If it doesn’t then the problem could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Reset the speaker Bluetooth setting as well. Try connecting both devices and check if the issue still occurs.

In case the problem persists then you should contact the speaker manufacturer regarding this problem.

S8 Is Not Installing Software Update

Problem: Good day! My Samsung Galaxy S8 isn’t downloading the new software update. Everytime it stops at 30%, stalls and proceeds in saying error. I’ve tried factory reset, but still no success. Please help!

Solution: I would suggest that you try updating the phone using the Smart Switch software. Download the latest Smart Switch software to your computer. Install the software and run it. Connect your phone using a USB cord to your computer. Once the phone is detected by smart Switch you will be prompted that a phone update is available. Follow the on screen instructions to update your phone software.

S8 Keyboard Has Stopped Working Error

Problem: Samsung S8 I get a pop up saying keyboard has stopped working usually when I’m either typing a email or texting or checking out Facebook or even playing a game. I’ve tried clearing the cache from the application manager and then restarted the phone. That didn’t work as I got the pop up again about half hour later. So I did the clear cache partition in recovery as stated in your website and that didn’t work as the pop up showed up pretty much 5 minutes after the phone rebooted. Is there anything else I can try? I always close apps properly after use so never have anything running in background for long apart from what it usually have running for the system. Any advice would be much appreciated as I’m deaf and it’s my only means of communication such as messaging and emails within family and friends and such. Many thanks

Solution: Have you tried checking if the problem occurs when the phone is started in Safe Mode? If it doesn’t occur in this mode then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

In case the issue still occurs even in Safe Mode then I suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

S8 Applications Stop Working Error

Problem: I have a galaxy S8 phone. All my applications stops working after 3 or so weeks. If you restart it it wont go past the Samsung logo so i have to wait till the battery is empty that i charge and hard reset it. So i will have to hard reset it almost every month. Any help???

Solution: For this particular problem I suggest that you update your phone software then do a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. In case the issue still persists then this is most likely a hardware related problem already in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
