Solved Samsung Galaxy S8 Black Screen With Blue LED Light

The #Samsung #Galaxy #S8 is a premium flagship smartphone released last year that is still popular among consumers today. The phone has a large 5.8 inch Super AMOLED display which renders colors beautifully. Under the hood is a powerful Snapdragon 835 processor which when combined with 4 GB of RAM allows several apps to run smoothly. Although this is a solid performing phone there are instances when certain issues can occur which we will be addressing today. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series we will tackle the Galaxy S8 black screen with blue LED light issue and other related problems.

S8 Black Screen With Blue LED Light

Problem: I have a galaxy s8 t mobile device that shows the blue LED light but the screen is black. I have tried everything you have mention in the troubleshoot page and it still doesn’t work for my phone. I have no idea what else to do beside traveling two hours for the nearest samsung office. PLEASE help me in trying to fix my device. it’s still in perfect condition but the screen doesn’t work. Please and Thank You!!

Related Problem: A coworker gave me his Samsung Galaxy S8 for use as a replacement for my current one as it is not working.  Unfortunately the S8 is showing signs of the black screen of death. I have tried the different button configurations to resolve the issue.  The initial Samsung screen nor the android symbol will appear during the startup (nothing at all for that matter)…but the phone does vibrate and the notification / LED light up.  So it is responding…but I cannot determine if it is fully booting up or not….the screen is responsive to my touch….and I have had it on a charger for three days now. Any suggestions?  I’ve been researching this a lot…..even ways of resetting the phone via PC, but to no avail.

Solution: Have you tried doing a soft reset on the phone? This is done by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart when performing this step. If the screen remains black then try to start the phone in recovery mode. In case the screen works in this mode then the problem could be caused by a software glitch. You will need to do a factory reset in this mode. Take note  that the reset will erase your phone data.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component. The best thing you can do in this case is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S8 Is Not turning On

Problem: My phone won’t turn. It started when i charged it while there is a warning “Moisture detected… And then i turned it off and it was charging. When i plugged out the charger, and tried to turn it on, it wont turn on so i tried charging it again but the screen flashes “Downloading.. Please don’t turn off the target” and i immediately plugged it out again and tried turning it on again and it turned on. But when i power it off, and turn it on again, it wont turn on so i charged it again. When it becomes 100% charged i tried to turn it on but it won’t respond anymore. I tried to forced restart, and master reset but nothing happens? Is it possible that the hardware is damaged? Will it be repaired if it is liquid damage? I hope you can help. Thanks!

Solution: If you have already tried doing a soft reset and starting the phone in recovery mode to do a factory reset but still the issue persists then it’s very likely that this is already caused by a faulty hardware component. I would suggest that you bring this phone to a service center and have it checked.

S8 Turns Off When Disconnected From Charger

Problem: Galaxy S8 turns off when disconnected from charger.  Works perfectly with the charger. Can show 100% charge but turns off when disconnected. Phone has never been wet. Well taken care of, excellent condition. Has been working perfectly until recent days. I am electronics tech, please tell me what to do. Thanks

Solution: It’s very likely that the problem is caused either by a faulty battery or power IC. Since these components need to be verified if they are working properly the best way to do his is to bring the phone to a service center for repair.

S8 Moisture Detected In Charging Port

Problem: last week my samsung S8 has moisture detected and i already try all the possible solution and sometimes the pop up msg is gone and when that happens i try to charge it using my cable charger and it seems that it is not still working even the pop up msg is gone. Should i factory reset my phone?

Solution: If you are getting this error message then the first thing you need to do is to make sure that the charging port of the phone is free from any moisture. Use a mini vacuum or a hair dryer to remove any presence of moisture in this port. Restart the phone then check if the issue still occurs. If it does then this might be caused by a software glitch in which case you will need to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

S8 Forgot Password

Problem: For security purposes my Samsung Galaxy S8 wanted me to use my password to sign in/unlock rather than my fingerprint.  After that I could use the fingerprint to unlock the phone. Well, I forgot my password and have tried about 15 options but to no avail.  I need to unlock the phone, but really don’t want to lose all my data. Can you help?

Solution: If your phone is connected to your Samsung account then you can try to use the Samsung Find My Mobile feature to unlock your phone.

You can also try to use the Google Find My Device feature to unlock your phone.

  • Login to the Google Find My Device web page from any computer or phone browser.
  • Activate the Lock & Erase feature
  • Follow the steps the follow as prompted on the page so as to lock your smartphone.
  • Set a new temporary password for your Galaxy S8
  • Key in the temporary password you set
  • Complete the process by setting up a new password
