Note 8 Not Correctly Showing Phone Number Of Contact
Problem: Hello! I have a Note 8 that will not correctly show a phone number in sms (it’s missing one of the digits in the number). This is only happening with one contact, and when I reply to the text it won’t send (the number is incomplete). For example the number is 215 xxx xxxx but my phone is only showing 25 xxx xxxx. This probably wouldn’t be the end of the world, but the number is my wife’s phone (she has an iphone 6). We are on the same carrier and plan. All other iPhone texts come through fine. Any answers you might have to this problem would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to delete the contact from your phone book then manually add the correct number. Make sure to delete the phone number from your Google contacts account as well as sometimes this number will sync back to your phone.
Note 8 Not Sending Text Message To One Contact
Problem: I can text all my contacts except my mum. The text I send tells me it’s sent and gives me a sent time as per normal. However my mum has not received my messages for over 3 months now. She has a non tech phone. It’s a very basic handset that does nothing except calls and texts. My mobile is a Samsung Note 8. I have tried everything. I’ve literally gone into my settings but to no avail. I’ve looked at mums phone too but no joy. Help
Solution: If the text message is marked as sent in your phone then it’s very likely that the text has been sent to the recipient. You can try to check if your phone has text sending issues by sending your own number a text message using your phone. If you receive the text message then there’s a chance that the problem originates on the recipient’s end. The messages might not be appearing on the inbox instead it might be appearing in the spam folder or blocked folder list. Try to have the settings of the other phone checked.
Note 8 Lag When Typing Using Keyboard
Problem: My problem is that when I try typing words on message+, google chrome, or anywhere else it has a several second lag that makes it hard to construct multi word messages. When I put it in safe mode the lag is gone and everything works fine. I can’t tell which app is making it do this and when I turn safe mode off it goes back to being laggy.
Solution: The first thing you should do in this case is to clear the cache and data of the keyboard app from the application manager. Once this is down try checking if the problem still occurs. If it does and the issue does not occur in Safe Mode then you will have to uninstall the app that is causing this problem. You should start with the apps that you recently installed. Another way to fix this problem is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
Note 8 Getting Text Notification Even when No New Text Has Arrived
Problem: I have just updated my samsung Note 8 with the new update and i have noticed my phone makes the notification sound that i have a message so i unlock my phone and there’s nothing there. So essentially its saying i have received for example a whatsapp with my whatsapp notification sound and i haven’t got any. What is the issue please help its driving me mad.
Solution: If this problem occured right after the software update then it appears that this problem is caused by old software data that has not been completely removed during the update process. What you will want to do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
