J7 No Network Connection Error

Problem: My husband’s Samsung Galaxy J7 suddenly lost its service connection. It is on a Verizon prepaid plan, & whenever he tried to make a call or text it says “No network connection”. He has dropped it a few times, & a friend told him the sim card may have come loose, so he took it out & put it back in. After doing that, it worked for a little while then quiet again. He tried it again, & this time it connected for just a second then lost connection again. He then tried several “hacks” he found online, but still nothing worked. Please help!!!

Solution: What you should do first in this case is to make sure that the problem is not network related. Make sure that you are in an area that is known for getting a good signal reception. It’s best to try going to a different location and check if the issue still occurs. In case the problem is not caused by a network issue then you will have to do the additional troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Turn off the phone then remove the SIM card. Press and hold the power button for at least a minute then reinsert the SIM card. Turn on the phone then check if the issue still occurs.
  • Try starting the phone in Safe Mode. Does the problem occur in this mode? If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded.  Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Backup your phone data. Start the phone in recovery mode then wipe the cache partition of the device. Follow this up with a factory reset.
  • Try using a different SIM card in your phone.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J7 Getting Low Signal From Network

Problem: I have An AT&T Samsung J7 and I just only have 1 to 2 bars on my signal strength in my home. I am also in the middle of 3 cell towers like a triangle in a 4 mile radius. I complained to AT&T and got nowhere. When my wife and I had our 3G phones, we always had full 5 bars of signal strength all the time and never had any drop calls. No we go 2 to 3 miles from our house and have drop calls where we never did before, and in other areas we had full bars now only have 1 bar.. I heard you can adjust in the Developer somewhere to get better signal quality , is this True ? If so, can you tell me how to adjust it… Also my signal strength in numbers is ; -108 dbm 32 asu… They say on the Internet that the more less than 100 the better the strength , mine never is under 100… I tried your soft reboot and nothing changed, I always do that, plus I had to factory reset my phone last month and it still is the same, it’s been like this for about 3 yrs now, can you help me get a better signal reception?

Solution: Do you have access to other mobile devices running on the same network in your area? Try to check the signal that these devices are getting. If they are also getting a low signal then this might be a network related issue.

In case the problem is not caused by a network issue then you should check if this is caused by a software glitch. Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try checking if the issue still occurs.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component.

J7 Hands Free Activation Fails To Activate

Problem: Hi, I am facing two Major Problems with My Samsung Galaxy J7. I have tried & tested many different Websites & Forums looking for the Solutions but failed. The 1st Problem is SIM-related. My device does not show or support SIM-CONTACTS.I could not find any Options to find out the specified Contacts. It only shows Saved Device Contacts & Google Account based Contacts. That is why I am not being able to Copy My Contacts.I have already tried Import/Export-Contacts Options but that did not work.I don’t know why My Device does not even have the Options to handle the SIM-Contacts.Please look into the Issue & try Ur best to find the needed Solutions. The 2nd Problem relates to the Device Activation Issue. It concerns My Devices “Hands free Action”.From the very beginning, when I turn on the Net/Wi-Fi on My Device,It shows “Setting Up Ur Device for Voice & Data, Please wait” but after that it goes on Automatically & even takes 5 Retries but the real Activation never take place. The Function Itself Starts & Shuts whenever It finds Internet. I am completely unknown to this Issue & It would be very kind of U If U can find a Workable Solutions.

Solution: For the first issue that you are experiencing I suggest that you remove the SIM card from your phone then insert it in another device. This is to verify if the SIM card has contacts saved in it. If the SIM card has contacts saved then reinsert it back to your phone. Restart your phone by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Once the phone has started proceed with the steps listed below.

  • From a Home screen go to Apps then Contacts
  • Tap the Menu icon
  • Tap Settings
  • Tap Import/export contacts
  • Tap Import
  • Tap SIM card

For the second issue the hands free activation of the phone should be completed even without user interaction. If it doesn’t then I suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. In case the issue persists then you need to contact your carrier regarding this issue.
