J3 Err_Internet_Disconnected Error When Using Mobile Data
Problem: My Samsung Galaxy J3 mobile package includes 1GB mobile data, when i am at home my phone is connected to Wi-Fi and internet works fine. However when i am out of the house my phone does not connect to internet. Mobile Data is switched on all the time. The message I get is ERR_INTERNET_DISCONNECTED. Can anyone advise what i need to do, so that my phone can connect to internet when i am out of the house. Thank you
Solution: This error message is usually seen on a browser when it is unable to go online. Since you have already made sure that you have a mobile data subscription the next step is to make sure that you are in a good coverage area. Make sure that the phone is getting an LTE signal. You also need to make sure that the phone has the correct APN settings set. These settings are unique to each carrier so you should compare your phone APN settings to that of your carrier and make the necessary changes on your device.
In case the problem persists then proceed with the following steps listed below.
- Toggle the airplane mode.
- Try to check if the problem is isolated to a certain app by checking if other apps such as YouTube can go online. If only one app has an issue then try clearing its cache and data from the application manager. You can also try to uninstall it then reinstall a fresh version from the Google Play Store.
- Check if an app you downloaded is causing this problem by checking if the issue occurs in Safe Mode. In case it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
J3 Keeps Disconnecting From Wi-Fi
Problem: Okay so I got my Samsung J3 and like it and after awhile maybe a month or 2 it stopped connecting to my wifi and when I turn the wifi of than on it will connect but than disconnect after a min.. I tried a page on the forums to go into safe mode etc but when I try to get into it I get to as far as it shows the words Safe Mode in the bottom left but when I unlock my phone than its out of safe mode.
Related Problem: Don’t know if you guys can help with this, but I’m having an annoying Wifi issue. I have a J3 android 7.0. My issue is that my phone will drop connections if I only have one or two bars and say “poor internet connection”. It also does this a lot on hotspots that require me to accept an agreement to be able to use them. Is there a way to straight stop it from doing that? I can’t find anything on the internet for 0 and I can’t find anything that resembles it in the settings. Any advice? I set the Wifi to always be on even in sleep, but that did nothing.
Solution: Does this problem occur on a particular Wi-Fi network only or does it happen to all Wi-Fi networks it tried to connect to? If it is only on one particular network then try forgetting that network from the phone then connect to it again. You should also check if other devices can successfully connect to that network since if they don’t then the problem could already be caused by the router.
In case the issue occurs for every Wi-Fi network you are trying to connect to then proceed with the steps listed below.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the same issue occurs when the phone operates in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
J3 Wi-Fi Turns Off When Screen Is Off
Problem: so i have a samsung j3 and every time the screen turns off, it disconnects from the wifi which im connected to, but the wifi is turn on and it doesn’t happen to my other phone, and also, it seems that while i’m connected, the internet is very slow on this phone compared to my other one and sometimes it says im disconnected from the wifi even though is turn on and connected and my router is working fine
Solution: It’s very likely that this is a setting related problem where the Wi-Fi is set to turn off when the phone sleeps. To fix this just follow the steps listed below.
- Swipe down from the top of the screen
- Tap and hold the Wi-Fi icon
- Tap More
- Tap Keep Wi-Fi On During Sleep
- Tap on always
Regarding the slow Wi-Fi connection that your phone is getting try to check if an app you downloaded is causing this problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode. If the problem does not occur when the phone is started in this mode then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it. If the issue persists then try doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
