Galaxy A7 Camera Photo Has Vertical Lines

Problem: I am having issues with my camera in that about 70% of my pictures (included also in the viewfinder when focusing my picture) there is a vertical line that runs the entire pane right of center.  It’s like a line of empty pixels. Only in camera mode, I did a diagnostic and it only appears on the rear camera. Software is update and I’ve tried rebooting

Solution: The first thing you should do in this case is to check if the problem is caused by an app you downloaded. To do this you have to start the phone in Safe Mode then take pictures in this mode. If the vertical lines issue does not occur then the problem could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

In case the issue still occurs even in Safe Mode then the next step is to check if this is caused by a software glitch by performing the additional troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Clear the cache and data of the camera app from the application manager. Check if the issue still occurs.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already by a hardware related issue.

Galaxy A7 Warning Camera Failed Error When Using Front Camera

Problem: Hi, I recently purchased a Samsung galaxy A7. Over the last couple of days, the front facing camera has refused to work, displaying “warning – camera failed” every time I open it. the camera on the back works, just not the front. I have tried every troubleshooting method i can find from clearing the cache to eventually factory resetting the phone, with no luck. Is there anything else I can try?

Solution: If a factory reset fails to fix the problem then it’s very likely that the front camera module of the phone is defective. You will need to have this checked and possibly replaced at a service center.

Galaxy A7 Shuts Down When Camera Is Used

Problem: Whenever I use the camera in bright sunlight, the phone suddenly thinks the battery is dead and shuts down.  When I plug the phone into a charger it quickly charges back to wherever it was before the shut-down occurred.

Solution: The first thing you will need to do in this case is to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch. To do this you need to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the problem still occurs. In case it does then there’s a possibility that this is caused by a faulty battery. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
