Solved LG V20 Turns Off When Battery Level Decreases

LG V20 Turns Off When Battery Level Decreases

Problem: My phone V20 will shut off before the battery reaches 15% sometimes sooner. The earliest i’ve noticed is 50%. The battery drains quickly if i have more than one app open at a time but i can play music for about 5 hours if i don’t turn the screen on. After 2 hours of music starting at 100% if the screen comes on it dies within the minute even if its only on for a few seconds. Do i need a new battery? Or a new phone? What can i do?

Solution: This problem is either caused by a software glitch or a faulty battery. Since it will take some time to get a new battery I suggest that you check the software part first. Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone just yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then you will need to order a new battery and replace the old one on your phone.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then it’s likely that some other internal component is faulty. You will then need to have this checked at a service center.

LG V20 Shuts Off On Its Own

Problem: Hello Droid Guy, I have a V20 with a power issue. This device originally had a battery issue where it would not charge. So recently, I changed out the battery with and one and charged it for 2 hrs. Now, it shows to charge and turns on but goes off after 3 mins. I shut it off, waited 10 secs, and did a soft reboot twice and charged for 2 hours till full charge but the it still shuts off. The reboot screen holds without powering off. Would this be firmware or software issue? I appreciate any suggestions you might have. Thanks

Solution: Since you have already tried replacing the battery which doesn’t appear to fix the problem then the next step is to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch. Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Do not install any apps in your phone after the reset instead try checking first if the issue still occurs. If it does then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

LG V20 Restarts On Its Own

Problem: I have LG V20 . It restart automatically while i using my phone… Not a normal restart it is.. After restart my recent app remain same as before and can be accessed after restart.. No certain time or amount of this restart i can be happened randomly at any time i have reset factory 2 time but no improvement… Also replaced battery with older one which was i changed due to less timing but on both batteries same issue occurred.. I have also changed charging cable… Please help me out to solve this issue..

Solution: Have you tired checking if a software update available for your device? If it is available then I suggest that you update your phone software. Once updated start your phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue will occur in this mode. If it doesn’t then the problem is most likely caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it. In case the issue persists then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

LG V20 Not Turning On

Problem: Well my Lg phone  been perma frozen since yesterday. i tried rebooting it, removing the battery, removing the sim card, letting it die and then charging it again and nothing is working. I even tried removing the battery so many times it isn’t funny. i was just taking a picture and it suddenly turned off and it’s been not working ever since. I wasn’t even doing anything weird to cause it to do anything like this and I’ve tried everything I know how to do to fix it.

Related Problem: My phone wont turn on at all. i plug it in and the charging display turns on but only for a few seconds. but i know it isnt charging because the led light at the top isn’t on. I’ve tried rebooting it, charging it and nothing. The weird thing is that the charging display stays on until i try turning on the device. But again the screen wont turn on

Solution: The best thing to do in this case is to clean the charging port of the phone using  a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port. Once this is done charge the phone using a different charging cord and wall charger for at least 20 minutes then turn on the phone. If it still does not turn on then try using a new battery.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
