How to save a ringtone on Galaxy S10

In order to save a ringtone on Galaxy S10, you must first open the message thread that contains it then save it. Here’s how that’s done:

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Open Messages app. If prompted to change the default SMS app, tap YES to confirm.
  3. From the Inbox, tap the message containing the ringtone.
  4. Touch and hold the attachment box.
  5. Tap Save attachment. By default, the sound file is saved to: My Files > Downloads. To view the sound file as a ringtone option, you need to move it to Internal storage > Ringtones. To do that, you can use My Files (Apps > Samsung > My Files) to move files.

To use the saved ringtone:

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Open Settings app.
  3. Tap Sounds and vibration.
