Samsung’s new Galaxy Tab S5 tablet shows up on Geekbench

If you were wondering when Samsung was finally going to launch its successor to the Galaxy Tab S4, well, it could be soon, according to a new benchmark on Geekbench.

The model number that showed up on Geekbench is the Samsung SM-T865. It’s using a Qualcomm chipset, and comes with a whopping 6GB of RAM. The benchmark shows the device running Android 9 Pie as well.

This is about the only thing that we’ve heard around the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5, but now that it’s passing through Geekbench, it won’t be long before we start seeing more, especially if we’re nearing a release.

One of the interesting aspects of the Geekbench benchmark is that it’s nearly doubling benchmarking for current top Android tablets, and actually gets pretty close to iPad Pro levels.

We’ll hopefully see more about this new hardware from Samsung soon.
