Samsung Will Launch an S Pen Toting Tablet Soon

As per a new leak, Samsung could be preparing the launch of a new tablet with support for its popular S Pen stylus. The company already has a flagship tablet with S Pen, the Galaxy Tab S6, so it seems like this will be a mid-ranged offering. In the meanwhile, previous reports have also talked about the company’s plans to launch a “Lite” version of the Galaxy Note 10 soon, which sounds like an affordable version of the company’s August 2019 flagship.

As for this new tablet, there’s not much information to go with right now barring the model numbers. The standard Wi-Fi-only model will reportedly bear the model number SM-P610, while the company reportedly plans to bring a cellular variant to the market under SM-P615 shortly after. SamMobile reports that the company will offer the tablet in 64 and 128GB variants, respectively.

Given the success of the Galaxy Tab S5e, it’s safe to assume that this new tablet will be a similar offering, meaning that it will have a design similar to the company’s current flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S6. There’s no word on the release timeframe for this tablet, but it is expected that Samsung will unveil this in time for the MWC event in February 2020.

Samsung has a lot on its plate now with the expected arrival of the Galaxy S11. However, given that the high-end tablet market is currently dominated by Apple’s iPads, it makes sense for the company to focus on the mid-range and lower-end tablet segment, which has a handful of competitors currently. However, as far as Android tablets are concerned, one can comfortably say that Samsung is well ahead of its industry rivals.
