Premium 10-inch tablets will last you a long time, and keep you happy for quite awhile. On the other hand, the taste of low price in a low to mid range tablet will be nice, at least before the bitterness of poor quality kicks in.
That said, you can’t go wrong with any five of these tablets:

iPad Pro
Coming up first on our countdown, we have the iPad Pro. Apple offers it in a couple of different sizes, but the one closer to 10-inches is super portable and easy to take with you almost anywhere. And with a type cover accessory, you can easily use this as a premium tablet or a powerful laptop.
One of the cool things about this one is that it gets pretty close to a bezel-less display, which brings you a new level of clarity alongside even more screen space.
You get some excellent hardware in the iPad Pro, but one of the cool things about it is that it comes with an Apple Pencil, which you can use for a whole new level of producitivty.

ASUS ZenPad 3S
On the Android side of things, the ASUS ZenPad 3S is essentially an excellent iPad replacement. The display comes in at 9.7-inches, and you get an excellent, sharp resolution that keeps media, games, and work very detailed and easy on the eyes.
The battery lasts a really long time as well, going for around ten hours on a single charge. It’s slim, portable, and light enough for holding for long periods of time.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S4
Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S4 is another excellent choice, actually coming at just over 10-inches. You get a 10.5-inch display, with the Super AMOLED panel that makes colors look very deep. And with the top tier resolution, you’ll only get the best clarity for watching movies and TV shows.
It’s running a fast oct-core processor as well. Alongside plenty of RAM, you’re going to be able to get some great performance out of most Android games. You get some great productivity with this tablet, due in large part to the S-Pen.

Microsoft Surface Pro
We really love what Microsoft is doing in their new line of tablets, starting with the Surface Pro. Coming in at 10-inches, this large and premium tablet boasts the performance of a standard PC or laptop. It’s actually really nice that this one runs Windows, as it opens up so many more applications and productivity options to you.
While it is first and foremost a tablet, you can add a type cover to this one to transform it into an affordable laptop.

Pixel Slate
The Pixel Slate is a little larger than 10-inches, actually coming in at 12.3-inches. The Pixel Slate is actually competing on a similar level with the iPad Pro, so you still get that beautiful and crisp display.
Google actually did an excellent job making this a cross between a tablet and a laptop. With the big, ultra-sharp display, you’ll be able to watch media with excellent clarity, and have plenty of room for all sorts of multitasking.
Designed for some of the more demanding apps on the market, the Pixel Slate is packed with the hardware you need to keep up — you can actually choose a Core M3, Core i5, or Core i7 processor to configure your Slate with.
And of course, you can outfit your Pixel Slate with a detachable keyboard to transform the Pixel Slate into a laptop whenever you need.

Verdict
There are a lot of tablets on the market, starting at the low-end of the spectrum, and then up to the top or premium side of the range — we don’t believe that many of the low to mid-range tablets are even worth buying, simply because the screen or display is often just so bad.
That’s why you’ll want to pick up one of these premium tablets that we outlined here — not only do they bring you some fast hardware that can handle just about anything, but you also get a massive battery and beautiful display with it. Most of these you cannot go wrong with, but we really like the iPad Pro and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4.
