J7 Takes Black Photos When Flash Is Used

Problem: Hi droid guy. The flash of my Galaxy j7 2016 got a problem. I get black images when I take pictures with flash. It’s just tonight. I dunno why

Solution: This problem might just be caused by a glitch in the camera app. To fix this problem try clearing the cache and data of the camera app from the application manager then restart the phone. Check if the issue still occurs. In case if it does then the next step is to check if an app you downloaded is causing the problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone operates in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. If the issue does not occur in this mode then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then proceed with the following steps.

  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

Should the issue persist then you will need to have the phone checked at a service center.

J7 Receiving Notification For Previously Received Text Message

Problem: I’m having a problem with my samsung J7. I bought this phone a couple months ago. I’ve been having problems with the text messaging just recently. It started out as me getting notifications for things i already received. Then it went to not fully loading images being sent to me. Last of all half of the messages I receive say “temporary failure”. I have no clue what to do.

Solution: The first thing that you should do for this particular issue is to clear the cache and data of the text messaging app. Once this is done check if the issue still occurs. If it does then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then the problem could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Try wiping the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

J7 Unable To Open PDF File

Problem: When I try to open any pdf file one pop up message keeps on showing on my screen that driver has stopped working and I am unable to open my pdf file on my Samsung j7 prime.

Solution: The app installed in the phone that is used to open PDF files might have an issue. You can try uninstalling this app then install a fresh version from the Google Play Store.

J7 Does Not Turn On

Problem: My phone won’t turn on..still have 56% the last time i saw before it shut down..i try to charge bt appear and disappear the charging logo..what must i do..help me

Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this particular case is to make sure that the battery of the phone has sufficient charge. Since you mentioned that the phone intermittently charges then you should try cleaning the charging port of the phone first using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port. Once this is done try charging the phone for at least 20 minutes using a different charging cord and wall charger.  Try to check as well if the phone can charge from a computer USB port.

In case the phone does not charge or turn on then you should bring this to a service center and have it checked.

J7 Screen Not Turning On From Sleep

Problem: Hi, I bought a Galaxy J7 prime. The problem is when the screen turns off it won’t turn on again by pushing the home key. I should push the power button one time and it takes 5-10 second for the screen to turn on. I tried factory reset and safe mode and uninstalled all apps. Although it worked ok for a day, the problem came back again. Lately, it seems it’s getting worse and the lcd does not turn on sometimes. Would you please help me to solve the issue?

Solution: If you have already performed a factory reset and the issue persists then this might already be caused by a faulty display. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J7 Screen Goes On And Off

Problem: My Samsung J7 2015 is having issues. When I turn it on the screen would go on or off… I have to wait when it’s on the press my desired application to access. It’s like it’s blinking on and off. I’m not sure if it’s electrical related or battery related. Please help.

Solution: The best thing to do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. This way you can check if the problem is caused by some form of software glitch. If the issue still persists after the reset then this is most likely a hardware related problem already in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J7 Voice To Text Not Working

Problem: We just bought 2 of these J7’s. My wife’s phone is working great but I’m having a problem with talk to text on mine. In the text, I push the mic button, it opens up but the mic button in center of box starts blue color then turns white. Push it again and it will not turn blue to accept voice. Just has “try again” above the mic button. I’ve gone through all the settings with no luck fixing the problem. Thanks for any support for dummies you can give.

Solution: Try clearing the cache and data of the Google voice to text app from the application manager. If this fails to fix the problem then try uninstalling the updates to the Google voice to text app.
