How To Redeem A Download Code On Nintendo Switch eShop | 2020

Some new Nintendo Switch users may not be familiar with how to redeem a download code on the eShop. The good thing is, the process is straightforward and not that complicated at all. You simply have to open the Nintendo eShop and enter the code.

You can also use Nintendo’s website to redeem a code if your Switch is not readily available at the moment. This guide will show you how to do these two methods.

What is a Nintendo download code?

If you are new to Nintendo systems, you may have come across a download code. It is a code used to get games or contents that you can find in the Nintendo eShop. You’ll need to enter the code in your Nintendo Switch or Nintendo website to get the content in your system.

For example, if you prefer to get digital games instead of physical versions, you can use a download code.

Some physical games may include download codes when you buy them. These download codes are usually found on a receipt or card.
