LG to Start Sending Android 10 Updates to Its Flagships Soon

For those aware of LG and its smartphones, you will know that the manufacturer is relatively slow when it comes to software updates. While multiple smartphone brands have already announced plans for Android 10, LG was relatively silent. Well, that changes today with the Korean manufacturer announcing the Android 10 update for the LG G8 ThinQ followed shortly by the LG V50S.

As of now, the company has only announced an Android 10 preview for its smartphones, so not everybody can access it. Regular users can give it a try by heading over to the Quick Help section on the aforementioned LG smartphones to request the update. As expected, this update will bring forth all the native Android 10 features including gesture navigations as well as a system-wide dark mode to leverage the exciting P-OLED panel on the G8 ThinQ.

Naturally, the update will also include LG’s own tweaks and other upgrades to give users a breath of fresh air after the update. There’s no telling when the update will start hitting devices, but we’re not holding our breath as of now. As for the fate of rest of LG’s smartphone lineup, well, the company hasn’t provided any details as of yet.

Do you own the LG G8 ThinQ or the V50S? How excited are you to finally get Android 10 on your device? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
