Huawei P9 Screen Not Responding Issue & Other Related Problems
The #Huawei #P9 is a high end smartphone released in 2016 that’s best known for having camera optics co-designed by Leica. The phone comes equipped with dual 12MP cameras, one of which captures color information while the other captures monochrome information. This allows the phone to capture high quality photos even in low light conditions. The other great features of this phone include its aluminum body, 5.2 inch Full HD display, 3GB of RAM, and a 3000mAh battery just to name a few. Although this is a solid performing phone there are instances when certain issues can occur which we will be addressing today. P9 Screen Not Responding
Problem: My phone screen cracked I brought it to the shop to get fixed. it was working fine but all the sudden it did not wake up whatsoever I have tried charging rebooting to safe mode it just not responding can you please help me I have brought it to the shop that I got fixed he has said that the phone just died he has tried to replace the battery and the screen but still not waking up.
Solution: It looks like the some other component in the phone got damaged during the screen replacement. If you are able to perform a factory reset from the recovery mode then I suggest that you do so. Take note that this will erase your phone data If this doesn’t fix the problem then you need to have the phone checked at a different service center.
P9 Randomly Changes Settings After Update
Problem: Huawei P9 lite : after upgrade to android 7.0, EMUI 5.0.1, build VNS-L31C109B350 (2 weeks ago), my phone randomly changes its settings by itself (disables mobile data, turns to avion mode, enables bluetooth,…) thank you for any help
Solution: Since this problem occured right after a software update then it’s very likely caused by some update glitch. What you should do in this case is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
P9 Has Dull Grey Screen
Problem: My p9 screen lights up to a dull grey but no splash screen. I’ve tried all the reset and cache you mention on the p9 page. But still can’t get into the phone. Nothing comes up on the screen at all. A dull back-light that’s it.
Solution: If you have already performed a factory reset and the issue still occurs then this is most likely caused by a defective display. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
P9 Reboot System Now Error After Getting Wet
Problem: Hello, My problem is, that my phone got wet.I dried it for two days.After that, I pluged in to charge and ”reboot system now” appears.I reboot system,but nothing changes, the same option appears (reboot system, wipe data and wipe cache).What else can I do?
Solution: If you have already placed the phone in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours and the issue still persist then the phone is most likely water damaged already. The best thing that you can do right now is to have it checked at a service center.
P9 Shuts Down When Battery Level Is 45%
Problem: My P9 will shutdown when battery level is at 45%. Unless I recharge it will not boot up. The phone is only 1 year old. What is the problem. Is it the battery?
Solution: Try doing a factory reset to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch.. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. If the issue still occurs after the reset the this is most likely caused by a faulty battery. You will need to have this checked at a service center if this is the case.
P9 Screen Is Faded
Problem: The screen of my phone is very faded with faint vertical lines. I went to sleep last night and it was perfectly fine, it was on the desk next to me and nothing happened to it and when I woke up I’m the morning and checked it, it was like this. I’ve tried everything including wiping the cache and completely resetting the phone.
Solution: If the issue still occurs even after you performed a factory reset then this is most likely caused by a faulty display assembly. You will need to have this checked and possibly replaced at a service center.
P9 Unable To Update Phone Software
Problem: Recently i have reinstalled my phone firmware manually because there was a problem in updated Marshmallow. Now whenever i check Software update it gives error saying that…”Unable to update the software.A network or server error occurred.Try again later”.Update was available before but now it does not connect to server network. I have better working wi-fi connection,i tried many times but it gives same message.
Solution: I suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete try checking for the update again. I also recommend that you check for the update while your phone is connected to a different Wi-Fi network.
P9 Screen Is Black
Problem: Last week I dropped my phone & broke the the screen & when I brought it in the same day they did the test for LCD & it was working fine when they did it. So they did the repair & got tempered glass on it. Now last night it was working fine I was playing games and everything. I plugged it in before bed & closed all the apps. I woke up to my phone ringing but the screen was black. I was able to answer the call though. All of the bottoms works & people can call me but it is still black. I tried taking the battery out, doing the reset & many more things that people have suggested but nothing has worked. Please help me with my problem.
Solution: It looks like your phone display is damaged. Try starting the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset from here. Take note that this will erase your phone data. If the problem still occurs after the reset then you will need to have the display replaced.
P9 Screen Blinking
Problem: The screen will blink off then it will reboot to this….please help!!! I can get it to restart and sometimes even working by holding or pressing the power button. I’ve even factory reset it by holding the Power Button and volume button together. But it keeps doing the same thing, it will work for a little while start to blink then reset to the blue screen… no clue on how to fix..
Solution: If a factory reset does not fix the problem then this is most likely a hardware related problem already caused by a faulty display. You need to have this checked at a service center.
