How To Fix The Samsung Galaxy A10e Won’t Turn On Issue

A phone that does not turn on is a major problem since you won’t be able to use the device or access the data stored in your phone. There are several factors that can cause this problem, most of the time the culprit is a faulty hardware component. If this is the case then you will need to have the phone repaired at a service center however if this is caused by some form of software glitch then you can troubleshoot this by following the steps listed below.

Make sure the battery of the phone is charged

The first thing you will need to do is to eliminate the possibility of the issue being caused by a drained battery. Follow the steps listed below to charge the device.

  • Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed.
  • Fully charge the phone using its wall charger.
  • In case the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also try charging the phone from a computer USB port in case charging using the wall charger fails to work.

Once the phone has sufficient charge you should try to check if the Samsung Galaxy A10e won’t turn on issue still occurs.

Perform a soft reset

Most issues caused by a minor software glitch can usually be fixed by doing a soft reset. This is usually the first thing you will have to do when the phone is unresponsive however this will also work in this case as it will refresh the phone software. You can do this by pressing and holding  the power button for a few seconds until the device restarts. Once this is done try to check if the phone will turn on.

Check if the problem occurs in Safe Mode

There are instances when an app you downloaded can cause this particular problem. To check if this is the case, you will have to start the phone in Safe Mode as only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run in this mode.

  • Make sure that the device is off.
  • Press and hold the Power key past the screen with the device name.
  • When ‘SAMSUNG’ appears on the screen, release the Power key.
  • Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume down key.
  • Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting.
  • Safe mode will display in the bottom left corner of the screen.
  • Release the Volume down key when you see ‘Safe Mode’.

If the problem does not occur in this mode then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

Wipe the cache partition of the phone

The phone will usually store cached data to improve its performance. Sometimes this data can get corrupted which results in issues occurring on the device. To check if a corrupted cached data is causing the problem you will need to wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.

  • Turn off the phone.
  • Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key, then press and hold the Power key.
  • When the device logo screen displays, release only the Power key
  • When the Android logo displays, release all keys (‘Installing system update’ will show for about 30 – 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).
  • Press the Volume down key several times key to highlight ‘wipe cache partition.’
  • Press the Power key to select.
  • Press the Volume down key to highlight ‘yes’ and press the Power key to select.
  • When the wipe cache partition is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.
  • Press the Power key to restart the device.

Check if the Samsung Galaxy A10e won’t turn on issue still occurs.

One last troubleshooting step you should consider if you are still experiencing the Samsung Galaxy A10e won’t turn on issue is a factory reset. This will revert your phone back to its original factory condition. Take note that this procedure will erase your phone data.

  • Press the Volume down key several times key to highlight ‘wipe data / factory reset.’
  • Press Power button to select.
