How To Fix The Honor Magic 2 Won’t Turn On Issue

One major issue that you might experience with your phone is when it does not turn on. Sometimes this problem can already be caused by a faulty hardware component which is tricky to fix and will usually require a trip to the service center. This can also be caused by a software glitch which you will be able to troubleshoot . Listed below are the steps you need to perform to fix this problem.

Charge the phone battery

It is not often that you will experience this particular problem however if it does happen on your device then the first thing you will need to do is to make sure that the battery of the phone has sufficient charge. This will allow you to immediately eliminate the possibility of the problem being caused by a drained battery. Follow the steps listed below to charge the phone.

• Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed.
• Fully charge the phone using its wall charger.
• In case the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also try charging the phone from a computer USB port in case charging using the wall charger fails to work.

Once the battery has been fully charged try turning on the phone. If it still does not turn on then proceed with the additional troubleshooting steps listed below.

Perform a soft reset

You should refresh the phone software to eliminate the possibility of the problem being caused by a minor software glitch. This can be done easily by simply restarting the device.

• Press and hold the Power and Volume down key for up to 45 seconds.
• Wait as the device restarts.

Check if the issue still occurs.

Wipe the cache partition of the phone

Your phone will usually have cached data to speed up its operation. Sometimes this data stored in the dedicated partition of the phone can become corrupted. When this happens this this will usually cause certain issues to occur on the phone. To eliminate the possibility that this is what’s causing the problem you will have to wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.

• Turn off your phone.
• Press and hold Volume UP button along with Power button on your  device simultaneously for a few seconds
• The phone will enter the stock recovery mode
• Use volume buttons to highlight ‘wipe cache partition’ and use power key to select it
• Reboot the system once the process is completed

Check if the Honor Magic 2 won’t turn on issue still occurs.

Perform a factory reset

In case the above steps fails to fix the Honor View 20 won’t turn on problem then there is a possibility that this is caused by a system glitch. The best way to deal with this right now is to perform a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.
