How To Fix The Honor Magic 2 Can’t Send MMS Issue
Before you perform the recommended troubleshooting steps for this particular problem it’s best to make sure that the phone is running on the latest software version. If an update is available then I suggest that you download and install it first.
Check your phone settings
Almost all carriers will usually require two things from your phone before it will be able to send and receive an MMS. First, your phone must have an active mobile data subscription and that it is getting a strong mobile data signal preferably LTE. Second, your phone should have the correct APN settings and since these settings are unique for each carrier you should compare your phone APN settings to what your carrier is using and make the necessary changes if needed.
To access your phone APN settings:
- Tap Settings
- Tap Wireless & networks
- Tap Mobile network
- Tap Access Point Name
- Tap the Menu button
- Tap Reset to default
- Your phone will reset to default Internet and MMS settings. Try to check if you can send an MMS. If not then create a new APN setting with the correct carrier values.
- Select the Menu button and select New APN
- Enter the correct APN settings.
In case your phone meets both conditions and the issue still persists then you should proceed with the additional troubleshooting steps listed below.
Perform a soft reset
A soft reset will usually fix any issues caused by a minor software glitch as it will refresh the phone software. This can easily be done by simply restarting the device.

Check if the issue still occurs.
Check if the issue occurs in Safe Mode
There are cases when an app you downloaded and installed from the Google Play Store could be causing this problem. This can happen if the pap has bugs or compatibility issues with your phone. To check if this is the case you will need to start the phone in Safe Mode since only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run in this mode.
- Power off the phone by holding down the power button for a few seconds.
- Press and hold the power button and release it when you see the Huawei logo on screen.
- After releasing the Power key, immediately press and hold the Volume down key.

In case the issue does not occur in this mode then it’s likely that the problem is caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
Wipe the cache partition of the phone
There are cases when the cached data stored in the dedicated partition of the phone can become corrupted. When this happens this this will usually cause certain issues to occur on the phone. To eliminate the possibility that this is what’s causing the problem you will have to wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
