How to fix Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus that’s running slow

Most of the time, when this problem happens, it’s just due to some apps or minor firmware problems and here’s what you need to do about it…

Force restart your phone that’s running slow

If this is the first time that you noticed that your phone is running slow, then don’t do any complicated troubleshooting yet. Perhaps a forced restart may fix this issue as such is the case with similar problems we’ve encountered in the past. A forced restart can refresh your phone’s memory as reload all its services. To do it, press and hold the volume down and power keys at the same time for 10 seconds or until the logo shows on the screen.

If the issue is caused by third-party applications, then your phone will run normally while in safe mode. So, try doing these steps first and see what happens:

1. Turn the device off.
2. Press and hold the Power key past the model name screen appearing on the screen.
3. When SAMSUNG appears on the screen, release the Power key.
4. Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume down key.
5. Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting.
6. When Safe mode appears in the bottom left corner of the screen, release the Volume down key.

6. Press Power key to select.

8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

Backup your files and perform the Master Reset

After doing the previous procedures and your Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus is still running slow, then you must reset your phone. 7. Press Power button to select and start the master reset.
8. When the master reset is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.
