How to Fix Galaxy S25 Ultra Camera Black Screen on Zoom

Some Galaxy S25 Ultra users report that the camera app crashes, shows a black screen, or displays error messages. These troubleshooting steps can resolve most camera-related issues.

Fix #1: Force Close the Camera App

If the Galaxy S25 Ultra camera freezes, shows a black screen, or displays a “Camera Failed” error, force closing the app is the quickest fix.

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Camera.
  2. Tap Force Stop.
  3. Reopen the Camera app.

Fix #2: Clear Camera App Cache

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Camera.
  2. Tap Storage.
  3. Tap Clear Cache.

Fix #3: Force Restart

  1. Press and hold Volume Down + Power for about 10 seconds.
  2. Release when the Samsung logo appears.

Fix #4: Boot into Safe Mode

Third-party camera or filter apps can conflict with the native camera.

  1. Hold the Power button and long-press Power Off to enter Safe Mode.
  2. Test the camera in Safe Mode.

Fix #5: Check for Software Updates

  1. Go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.

Fix #6: Wipe Cache Partition

  1. Turn off the phone.
  2. Hold Volume Up + Power to enter Recovery Mode.
  3. Select Wipe Cache Partition and reboot.

Fix #7: Factory Reset

If the camera issue persists, a factory reset rules out all software causes.

  1. Back up your data.
  2. Go to Settings > General Management > Reset > Factory Data Reset.
