How to Fix Galaxy S25 Display Flickering

Several Galaxy S25 users are experiencing display issues including flickering, lag, and unresponsive touch. These fixes address the software and hardware factors that cause display problems.

Fix #1: Force Restart

Display flickering, lag, and unresponsive touch on the Galaxy S25 can often be fixed with a simple force restart.

  1. Press and hold Volume Down + Power for about 10 seconds.
  2. Release when the Samsung logo appears.

Fix #2: Adjust Display Settings

  1. Go to Settings > Display.
  2. Try switching between 60Hz and Adaptive refresh rate.
  3. Adjust Screen Brightness manually instead of using auto-brightness.
  4. Disable Extra Brightness if available.

Fix #3: Increase Touch Sensitivity

If using a screen protector, the Galaxy S25 has a built-in touch sensitivity boost.

  1. Go to Settings > Display.
  2. Turn on Touch Sensitivity.

Fix #4: Boot into Safe Mode

Third-party apps can cause display glitches. Safe Mode tests if the issue persists without them.

  1. Hold the Power button and long-press Power Off.
  2. Tap Safe Mode.
  3. If the display works normally in Safe Mode, a third-party app is the cause.

Fix #5: Wipe Cache Partition

  1. Turn off the phone.
  2. Hold Volume Up + Power to enter Recovery Mode.
  3. Select Wipe Cache Partition.

Fix #6: Check for Software Updates

  1. Go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.

Fix #7: Visit a Samsung Service Center

If the display shows a persistent green line, dead pixels, or flickering that continues after a factory reset, it is a hardware defect covered under warranty.
