How to edit a Contact on Galaxy S10 (easy steps)

NOTE: With Android 8 and later, you can no longer assign a message notification sound or tone for your contacts.

How to edit a Contact on Galaxy S10

To begin editing a contact:

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Open Contacts app.
  3. Select a contact.
  4. Tap Edit (bottom-left).
  5. Edit any of following then tap Save:
  6. Items in a contact depends on the account that’s associated with it (e.g. Phone, Google, etc.).
    • Name
    • Work
    • Phone (To add a pause (a 2-second delay between numbers) or wait, tap *+# then tap Pause or Wait.)
    • Email
    • Groups

  1. I want to edit a contact that has already been made a saved contact. when I click on the contact name, there is no edit button on the button. The only way I know how to do what I want to do is delete the contact made a new one and put in the new information I have for that contact. There has to be a easier and shorter way
