Google Stadia FAQ gets updated with some interesting details

Google has updated its Stadia FAQ documentations with some new and interesting details. These shed some more light on the sign-up process, but also indicate that Stadia could have some sort of virtual reality support later.

When you purchase a Founder’s Edition, you purchase it under your account. So, coming this November, Google will be sending a redemption code to the account used to purchase the order. However, it doesn’t necessarily have to be “redeemed” to your account.

Google’s FAQ essentially says that the redemption code you receive will go to the purchaser’s account, but you can redeem it with a “different email account.” So if you’re buying Stadia for a family member or friend for Christmas, you can easily just give that redemption code out.

The other interesting update to the FAQ is the mention of virtual reality. At this time, Stadia doesn’t support Daydream or any sort of virtual reality, but the FAQ response leaves the window open for possible support with virtual reality.

“At this time, we have no news to share regarding VR support on Stadia,” the FAQ reads.

We’re looking forward to getting into the nitty gritty of Stadia later this year.
