How to fix Samsung Galaxy Note 8 with “Unfortunately, Camera has stopped” error (easy steps)

A quick fix for “Camera has stopped” error on Galaxy Note 8
More often than not, the error “Camera has stopped” might be limited to the application only and if that’s the case, then we can fix this problem by doing the procedure below. While we know our solution works, we cannot guarantee it will fix every camera-related problem with the Note 8. There are times when you really have to do more troubleshooting procedures to determine the problem and hopefully fix it. But when it comes to the camera sensor, it’s difficult or even impossible for us technicians to fix it. The best workaround for it is to replace the sensor component or just give the customer a new unit but that depends on how the problem occurred, of course.

- From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
- Tap Settings > Apps.
- Find and tap Camera.
- Tap Storage.
- Tap Clear cache.
- Tap Clear data and then tap OK.
If the error shows up when you try to view a picture through My Files app, then you will have to reset the Gallery instead or if clearing the cache and data of the camera didn’t work.

- Tap Storage.
- Tap Clear cache.
