How to Activate and Use Galaxy S20 One-handed Mode

To address this need, Samsung integrates an advanced feature called One-handed mode. As the name implies, it allows you to operate your device using one hand.

Easy steps to activate and use the Galaxy S20 One-handed Mode

The following steps demonstrate the standard process of shrinking the Galaxy S20 display by activating an advanced feature called One-handed mode. Individual screenshots are likewise provided to serve as visual representations for those who are having trouble following textual instructions. Here’s how it works.

  1. Start by going to the Apps screen then tap Settings.

  2. From the Settings screen, scroll down and tap Advanced features.

  3. Scroll down and tap One-handed mode.

  4. Toggle the switch next to Use One-handed mode.

  5. You may opt to reduce display size with Gesture or Button.

One-handed mode makes UI elements easier for you to reach while using your phone with one hand. This is made possible at the entire UI size is reduced and pushed towards one of the lower corners of the screen.

To switch back to normal mode, simply tap on the black portion of the display. Doing so will exit one-handed mode right away.
