Things to do first:
- Restart your phone and the router it is connecting to.
- Make sure your phone software and YouTube app is updated.
Method 1: Clear the cache and data of the YouTube app to fix error 410
The first things you will need to do in this case is to remove the cached data of the app as this might be corrupted and is what’s causing the problem.

Clear cache and data
- Tap on Settings.
You can do this by swiping up from the Home screen then tapping on the Settings icon.
- Tap on Apps & Notifications.
This is where you can manage your app settings.
- Tap on See all apps.
This will list all of the apps installed in your phone.
- Tap on YouTube.
This will open the app storage, notification, and permission info.
- Tap on Storage & Cache.
This will open the YouTube app storage settings.
- Tap on Clear Storage and Clear Cache then make sure to confirm your action.
This will remove the temporary data stored by the app.
Try checking if the issue still occurs.
Method 2: Check your internet connection
Sometimes this issue can be caused by a poor internet connection. You can check your phone connection by doing a speed test.
- Open your phone browser.
- Type “speedtest” on Google search.
- Click on the “run speed test” button under the Internet speed test section.
Take note of the download and upload speeds that you are getting. If it is not good then you should try using a different connection such as your phone’s mobile data subscription.
