Troubleshooting software problems on your Samsung Galaxy A6 2018
If the problem persists after heeding prior charging tips and requisites, then you may continue to troubleshoot your Galaxy A6 2018 with the following workarounds:
First workaround: Restart your Galaxy A6 2018 (soft reset).
If your phone still has a little power left, try to perform a soft reset or reboot. Doing so will clear any software glitches that might have halt your device from performing its charging routine. A proper reboot will also close all open apps and purge the internal memory of the device. This can therefore solve a lot of random issues.
- To perform a soft reset or restart on your Galaxy A6 2018, simply press down on the Power button and hold it down for several seconds until the menu option appears. Then select Restart from the given options.

- Keep holding the Volume button until your device boots up.
- Let go of the button when your device restarts with a Safe Mode badge at the bottom left corner of the screen. This means that Safe Mode is enabled.
Now try plugging your device into the charger and see if it’s able to charge. If it charges, then you will need to uninstall any app you suspect is causing problem while in safe mode.
You can let your device finish charging before you exit Safe Mode and then delete problematic apps. To exit safe mode, simply restart your device.
Third workaround: Boot your Galaxy A6 2018 inrecovery mode (if applicable).
This method is only applicable if your device still has remaining power like around 20 percent. Booting in recovery mode will allow you to access options to manage your phone system and likewise fix any transpiring issues that are software-related.
