Verizon Will Provide 15GB of Additional 4G LTE Data in May

  • Verizon has announced that it will offer 15GB of additional 4G LTE data for mobile hotspot, Jetpacks, consumer, and small business shared data plans.
  • The free data will be valid for use between May 1 and May 31.
  • The carrier previously offered 15GB of free LTE data to its customers in March.

Much like it did last month, Verizon has now announced that it will give away 15GB of free 4G LTE data for consumer and small business shared data plans, hotspots, and jetpacks. The carrier shared a note earlier today detailing the promotion. Users will not have to do anything as the additional data will be added automatically to their accounts. This 15GB of LTE data will be valid for use between May 1 and May 31.

Verizon hasn’t gone into detail as to who exactly will get the free allocation, but it seems like both prepaid and postpaid customers will be covered. So if users received the additional data last month, they should see this new promo being added to their accounts starting May 1.

Here’s the note by the carrier:

Verizon continues to support customers who may find themselves needing additional data in order to learn, work or keep connected during this challenging time. That’s why today, we announced we are automatically adding an additional 15GB of 4G LTE data to consumer and small business shared data plans, hotspots and jetpacks to be used from May 1 through May 31. There is no action needed as this data will automatically be added to consumer and small business account.

With users staying home during the coronavirus outbreak, perks like this can go a long way in making life more tolerable. Most carriers have already waived off late fees and other billing-related charges to make it easier on the customers during the health crisis.

Verizon will have some quality smartphones joining its lineup this year including the freshly announced Moto Edge+ 5G which will be available exclusively via the carrier starting May 14.
