This post will walk you through configuring the Galaxy Z Flip 4 settings to show all hidden features in the Android 13/OneUI 5.0 Developer Mode. Here’s a quick guide to unlock developer options on Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4.
Time Needed : 4 minutes
Every Android smartphone has a hidden menu called the Developer Options or Developer Mode. In this menu, you can find many advanced Android features and options that are designed to configure system behaviors to enhance app and overall system performance.
Available features in the Developer Options menu may vary between Android OS versions. But the common denominator is that the Developer Options menu is hidden by default on most if not all Android devices. To unhide this menu, you will need to perform a special tweak.
Depicted below is the actual process of unlocking the Developer Options menu on the latest Galaxy Z Flip smartphone. Feel free to refer to this guide when needed.
To get started, launch the Settings app menu by tapping on the Settings icon from the Home or Apps screen.
You can also launch the app straight from the quick settings panel. Just swipe your fingers down from the top of the Home screen to launch the panel and then tap on the gear icon to open the Settings app.
While in the Settings menu, scroll down to the bottom section and then tap About phone.
Another menu opens with more details about your device.
Find and then tap Software information from the given options to proceed.
Software-related details will load up on the next display.
Locate Build number and then successively tap on it several times until you’ll see the prompt saying that ‘Developer mode has been turned on’ or something similar.
You may be asked to enter your unlock PIN, pattern or password before the last tap, so just follow the onscreen prompts to proceed and finish the entire process.
Once you see the ‘Developer mode has been turned on’ message, just tap the back key to return to the main settings menu.
There, you should see Developer Options added in the list of sub-menu items, particularly at the bottom of the list.
To view and access the hidden features in Android 13 Developer Mode, simply tap Developer Options from the Settings menu.
On the next menu, you will see a long list of items. These are the advanced features that are hidden in the Developer options menu.

The main reason why these features are hidden by default is that they are primarily intended for software development and debugging purposes only. That said, these features are designed for advanced users.
Some of these features however, can be activated by common users. Just be sure not to change the ones that you’re not familiar with so as not to mess up the system.
Among the most useful Developer Options features that common users can tweak include USB debugging, default USB configuration, default USB configuration, show taps and pointer location, animation scale, disable absolute volume, force dark mode, limit background processes, split screen for apps and more.
And that’s how you unlock the Galaxy Z Flip 4’s Developer Options menu or Developer Mode.
Should you wish to hide this menu again, just head back to Settings-> Developer Options menu then toggle to turn the ON switch OFF. After turning off that switch, tap on the back key to return to the main settings menu. The Developer Options will no longer be visible from the list of Settings menu items.
