Fix Sony Earbuds Can’t Connect To Phone

Wireless headphone is the preferred headphones for most users as compared to wired headphones. Aside from it is convenient to use, it is also portable as well. Though issues such as having trouble connecting to a bluetooth enabled device is one of the drawbacks of using a wireless headphone.

Before we proceed with fixing Bluetooth headphones connecting issues, let us first talk about how to connect Sony headphones to your Phone. This is probably the initial step to fixing connection issue, since incorrect connection process can also lead to headphones to not connect.

Connect Via Bluetooth, follow these steps for the pairing procedure:

1. Make sure device bluetooth settings is enabled
2. Press and hold power button on Sony earbuds to enter pairing mode. Pairing mode allows both the device and the earbuds to pair and connect with each other.
3. Release pressing the power button when light indicator is blinking.

Solution 1: Make sure Bluetooth settings are enabled on both devices

Solution 2: Make sure both devices are within range

It is likely possible that earbuds cannot connect to your phone because both devices are not within the recommended range. This means the phone and the earbuds are not close to each other. The recommended range that both devices should be close to each other is within 1 meter or 3 feet away.

Solution 3: Remove other paired devices on the phone

With Bluetooth, you can pair and connect to multiple devices but in this case when earbuds cannot connect to your phone. To rule out the possibility that other connected devices are interfering with the connection, try to disable or remove them first. Anyway you can always connect it again later on.

Solution 4: Check whether headset is currently connected to another device

If your earbuds is already connected to other devices, it may be the cause why you are having difficulty connecting it to your phone. To fix this, you may need to disconnect the Bluetooth settings on the device it is connected to or remove your earbuds from the list of connected devices on the other device and then try to connect Sony earbuds again on the phone you want to connect it to or the new device.

 

 

Solution 5: Charge Sony earbuds on its charging case

When Sony earbuds are not fully charged, it cannot operate the way it should be as a result connection issues can occur. To fix this, make sure earbuds are charged fully then try to connect it again to your phone. Earbuds case also serves as a charging case, therefore when you place your earbuds to the charging case, it will automatically charge the earbuds. Therefore, also make sure to charge the charging case as well.
