S8 MMC Read Failed Error
Problem: Hi my phone currently shut off on its own and when i tried restart it it seems be stuck in downloading dont turn off target and in the corner is displays: could not do normal boot ddi: mmc_read failed odin mode product name:,current binary:,system status: custom,reactivation lock: on,secure download enable, udc start. is there anything i can do to get back into the phone without loosing anything
Solution: You can try to do a soft reset which is done by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this. In case he issue still persists then try to check if the phone can start in Safe Mode. If it does then you should backup your phone data immediately. Once this is done proceed with a factory reset.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S8 Freezes Not Turning On
Problem: For some time I was experiencing problems with some apps, such as some displays spontaneously disappearing, the phone running slowly or freezing, and I have repeatedly had notification that says ‘Unfortunately, apps have stopped.’ I didn’t know what to do about this but I tried turning that app off and it seemed to restart itself but didn’t fix the problem. I also cleared a lot of photos from the phone memory. Shortly after this, the screen froze completely and I was unable to use any of the buttons or even switch it off, so I tried a soft reset and tried all the ways your website suggests to turn it on, but none of them work and the phone seems to be completely dead. The battery still had a small amount of power on it so I don’t think it’s the problem. I live in a remote area and can’t get to a technician immediately, so if you have any further suggestions to save my phone, I’d appreciate them! Thanks.
Solution: The first thing you will need to do in this case is to make sure that the battery of the phone has sufficient charge. Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air making sure that any dirt or debris gets removed. Connect the phone to its wall charger and let it charge for at least 20 minutes. If there is no charging indicator then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also check if the phone can charge from a computer USB port. Once the battery has sufficient charge disconnect the charger then do a soft reset. This is done by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. If the phone does not turn on then this problem might already be caused by a faulty hardware component. You will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.
S8 Not Charging Moisture Detected Error
Problem: Hello, i recently had a problem with my phone in which the water moisture alert popped up. It wouldn’t charge and it hasn’t been near any water. I tried restarting it and now my phone wont turn on at all. It is currently in a bag of rice. I tried holding down the power button and the volume ones at the same time while inserting the charger, the phone name quickly popped up but then disappeared and continued not to work. This is kind of a bummer and has never happened before. Would love to have a solution as soon as possible. Thank you.
Solution: The first thing you will need to do in this case is to make sure that the charging port of the phone is free from moisture. Use a mini vacuum or a hair dryer to remove any presence of moisture in the port. Alternatively, you can also leave the phone for around 2 hours which is enough time for the moisture to evaporate. Once the port is dry you should make sure that it is free from any dirt or debris. If necessary, clean the port using a can of compressed air. Connect the phone to its wall charger then let it charge for at least 20 minutes then try turning on the phone. If the issue persists then try turning on the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.
