Note 5 Sound Volume Randomly Changes On Its Own

Problem: Hi, My galaxy N5 keeps is having media volume issues. One issue is it lowers the media volume from around max (where i normally have it), to the lower “safe” level. Then it will go back to max volume intermittently and randomly. This happens whether I’m using the phone’s speaker, bluetooth speaker, or have it plugged into the aux cable in the car. It happens no matter what media- Pandora, YouTube, or the Samsung music. The other related problem is that the media will just pause on its own. Any ideas?

Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to check if an app you downloaded is causing the problem. To do this just start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

In case the issue still occurs even in Safe Mode then I suggest that you do a factory reset to eliminate the possibility of this being caused by a software glitch. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. Once the reset is complete immediately check if the problem still occurs.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 5 Volume Will Adjust Randomly

Problem: Galaxy Note 5 volume issue I bought this phone about a year ago second hand in a very good condition (the shop tests electrical items thoroughly) and there has been no issues with the volume up until recently… Basically my volume will automatically adjust randomly (most commonly media lowering) without me doing anything, it’s not the safety feature or my JVC earphones (literally just bought them) and I was wondering if my earphone jack is dirty or anything. My phone got drowned in heavy rain when riding my motorcycle. Could this be a cause? If so….what can I do because my 2 year warranty is void due to this water damage and affording a new phone right now is out of the question. The only solution I’ve found is restarting the phone but this takes roughly 5 minutes to do because it needs to do some app optimization. And when riding my bike I can’t just do such a thing and I can’t have this issue interrupting calls.

Solution: Since you mentioned that your phone got wet then this could be a factor that’s causing the problem. A component inside could be malfunctioning which is causing the volume to randomly adjust itself. What you can do right now is to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch by doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 5 Calls Can’t Be Heard On Speakerphone

Problem: Hi Guys! I keep trying to use my speakerphone. It switches over and I can hear the people on the other end perfectly, loud and clear but they can not hear me at all. This also happens when I  try and video chat using Facebook messenger. I have tried clearing the cache, recording on the recorder to check the mic., changed things in accessibility, cleaned the mic with air and a clip. I feel like I have tried everything even downloaded a speakerphone app to see if this may help and NOTHING! I did purchase this phone to use a different sim card from another company. If there are any suggestions you can give me I would greatly appreciate it!

Solution: The best thing you can do right now is to check if the problem is caused by an app you downloaded by starting the phone in Safe Mode. If the issue does not occur in this mode then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. You should then find out what app this is and uninstall it.

In case the issue still occurs even in Safe Mode then proceed with a factory reset. You should backup your phone data first before doing the reset.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
