J7 No Command Error

Problem: my phone went into a restarting loop. Then it went into a recovery boot loop. Now i’m getting no command with the little android guy. I took it into 3 different places and they can’t figure it out. They are telling me i have to somehow get the software off the phone.

Solution: When you get the no co command error on the screen this means that the Superuser access has been cancelled or denied during an installation process. To fix this problem you should try restarting the phone first by pressing and holding on the power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this and if all goes well then your phone should be working normally.

In case the problem persists then you will need to start the phone in recovery mode and from here do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.

J7 Stuck In Samsung Logo

Problem: My Samsung J7 phone was stuck at Samsung logo after taking battery out. I called sprint and explained my issue and i told them that I needed the photos and videos on the phone. I was told to hold two buttons and take battery out, said That I don’t want a reset!! Nothing happen same thing kept happening it would not up and stay stuck at Samsung logo. About two days later I took battery out and held one button, then it started updating, I don’t recall any yes or no or warnings, it ask for email and what language I want. Now All contacts, videos, pictures are gone. I don’t understand what happened. Can you help or try to explain? Hopefully I explained it best as I can. I don’t recall error code.

Solution: It looks like the phone has been factory reset during the update process. Once this type of reset occurs the phone will revert back to its original condition when it was new. All data stored in the phone will also be deleted in this process.

J7 com.android.phone Has Stopped

Problem: Hello,  I have an J7 and yesterday my phone died of battery, and when I turned it on, it started to system update. When the phone finally initialized, there was this message popping up on the screen (com.android. phone has stopped ). Also, I can not access my phone properly I can access the regular menu, but if I select something, I can not go back  I contacted the customer service by chat in US. and they help me to do a factory reset and a recovery, and clear cache and clear data. However, the problem still persists. The guy on the chat told me to contact the Taiwan customer service, because the phone was originally from there (he checked the IMEI number), to get the ROM files to reinstall the android. I contacted Taiwan, and they can not provide the ROM files and they do not offer support for that anymore. Would you know any way to repair my phone, or to get those ROM files needed to reinstall my android? My phone is perfect and very conserved, I really would like to fix and keep using it.

Solution: If a factory reset does not fix the problem then you will want to manually flash an updated stock firmware file to your phone. You can get this file from the Sammobile website which is also where you can get the instructions on how to flash your phone.

J7 Not Getting Software Update

Problem: I recently had to hard reset my phone. It was originally an at&t phone but works with a cricket sim card. I can not get it to recognize that it needs to update. I have a Samsung J7 Android version: 5.1.1

Solution: One reason why the phone is not getting any updates is because it can’t access the AT&T update servers. If you can get a hold of an AT&T SIM card then I suggest that you temporarily place this in your phone then check if for the software update. In case the issue persists then proceed with the steps listed below.

  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
  • Try to use Smart Switch to update your phone.
  • Manually flash the updated firmware file using Odin. You van get the firmware file from the Sammobile website.
