J7 Got Bricked After Rooting
Problem: Hello I attempted to root my phone today ended up bricking it. Originally I was unable to boot into recovery, I was getting a boot loop with a red message – “only official binaries are allowed to be flashed”. I tried flashing twrp again but no luck. I tried flashing original firmware back to my phone using Odin which was failing every time. I have also tried the restarting the phone method and then quickly going back into download mode to proceed with Odin which also isn’t working. Currently – I can only go into download mode and if I restart it just brings me to a giant message and exclamation mark that says – “An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software.” (i have never used smart switch before). At this point – I’m not sure how to proceed – any help is appreciated. Thank you
Solution: The best thing you can do right now is to download another copy of your phone firmware from the Sammobile website. Start your phone in recovery mode then wipe its cache partition then follow this up with a factory reset. Try using a different USB cord and different computer to flash the firmware to your phone. In case the problem still persists then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
J7 Stuck In Blinking Samsung Logo
Problem: My Samsung J7 is getting stuck on Samsung logo and it is blinking. I have tried your steps but when I get the recovery mode after I showed (no command) then I have all options in the recovery but without any solution. After I press on wipe cache and then press reboot, the mobile returns in the blinking logo. Please help me to solve this issue without needing to erase my data. Waiting for your reply Thanks in advance.
Solution: Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then you should try removing this as this might be causing the problem. In case the issue still persists then you will need to consider doing a factory reset in recovery mode. Take note that this will erase your phone data.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
J7 Keeps On Rebooting
Problem: Samsung J7 keeps rebooting. have tried safe mode, screen and buttons don’t work. Tried shut down from maintenance boot menu, it shuts down briefly and then reboots– continues rebooting every few minutes. I put in maintenance boot mode it does not reboot. Not sure of android version cause I cannot get in.
Solution: Try starting the phone in recovery mode then from here wipe the cache partition of the phone. Once this is done do a restart then check if the issue still occurs. If it still does then start the phone in recovery mode again and do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
J7 Turns Off when Not Connected To Charger
Problem: Hi. My husband and I both have the samsung J7 and have the same issues. On instagram the videos are trying to watch take way too long to load even when we try to load a video ourselves it takes forever or doesn’t load at all. Then it won’t let us delete and try to start over. My husband seems to think it’s a internet problem but I don’t know. Also both our phones don’t hold a charge, I can unplug it and like 5 minutes later it’s at 70%. And lastly when it gets lower then 20% it turns off, tries to turn itself back on but keeps turning off. Only when I can plug it in does it stop turning off
Solution: It appears that the battery of the phone is already weak and not holding its optimum charge anymore. You can try checking if the problem is caused by a software glitch by doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. If the issue still persists then I suggest that you bring the phone to a service center and have it checked. It’s very likely that the battery of the phone will need to be replaced.
