A7 Screen Will Not Unlock

Problem: Hello everyone. I have a issue with my Samsung Galaxy A7 2017. Out of nowhere the phone wont let me unlock it. I press the lock button, the home button, I touch the screen… nothing. It keeps showing the Always on Display screen. After touching the buttons several times, the phone will let me unlock it, but you could tell that those frenetic touches were too many commands for the phone to process easily. I did a factory reset and nothing changed. The oreo update was weeks ago. Please help me

Solution: If you already performed a factory reset and the issue still occurs then the problem is most likely caused by a faulty digitizer. I recommend that you bring the phone to a service center and have it checked. It’s likely that you will need to have the whole display assembly of the phone replaced to fix the problem.

A7 Black Screen With Blue LED Light After Drop

Problem: A7 SCREEN WITH BLUE LED LIGHT AFTER DROP Sir, I have the same problem as mentioned by the user, unexpectedly the phone is not responding, I tried to switch off the phone, tried all level by using volume down button, power button but failed to switch on/ off the phone, also connected via laptop to copy the data but do not show the icon where I can copy any data. My main major concern is to copy the data from the phone. Kindly give me tips & solution without visiting technician how to copy the data. Obviously I will change the display screen through samsung but I wish to copy before changing the display screen. Thanks & Regards

Solution: You should install Smart Switch in your computer then try to backup your phone data using this software. In case you are unable to do the backup since the software will need you to accept the permissions which are displayed on the phone screen then the only way you will be able to recover your phone data is to have the display assembly replaced at a service center.

A7 Bottom Screen Is Flickering

Problem: Bottom part of screen flickering and showing backlit stretched version of page I’m viewing. Didn’t drop it, it was fine last night and this morning it’s not. I tried safe mode, wiping cache, deleting apps, everything but the system reset/factory reset. It’s a Samsung Galaxy A7.

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data. If this does not fix the problem then this is most likely a hardware related problem already in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

A7 Bottom Screen Is Flickering But Responsive

Problem: The screen on my Galaxy A7 is half normal visibility/ half static fuzz, but the whole screen is fully responsive. I have tried booting it in safe mode, wiped the cache partition, and tried the wipe data/factory reset option. Seeing as how I can still type and perform all actions on the screen (including the static side located on the right), I’m thinking the solution isn’t to replace the screen but a firmware issue instead. Any suggestions as to the problem would be appreciated!

Solution: Unfortunately this appears to be caused by a faulty display assembly already. You will still be able to use the phone even with the flickering since the digitizer has not been damaged. You can try checking if this is caused by a software update by flashing your phone with the previous firmware version using Odin. You can get the firmware file as well as the instructions on how to flash your phone from the Sammobile website.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

A7 Cannot Preview Messages When Using View Cover After Software Update

Problem: Hello! I updated my phone this morning and when it was finished, it seems that I can no longer preview messages in my view cover. I have the AOD on at the moment, but it isn’t showing message previews when off either. I’ve been through every setting I can find or think of and I can’t seem to find a way to fix this. In my message notification settings, I have previews turned on, the option for lock screen turned on to “show content”, and importance is set to Urgent. I do have a theme active that affected the AOD before the update. I’m really hoping there’s a solution to this that I haven’t found and that the update didn’t just eliminate this feature.

Solution: The first thing you need to do is to check if the problem is caused by the them that you are using. Disable this theme. If the issue does not occur then you might have to wait for an update  to the theme which will fix the problem. In case the issue still persists even with the theme disabled then you should consider doing a factory reset as the problem could already be caused by old software data that has not been completely removed. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
