A5 Moisture Detected In Charging Port

Problem: I receive a moisture detected/USB plug in message. When I plug in phone it will not recharge due to this message. My phone is dead and I cant reset my phone. I have set my phone in rice and I have blow dried the plugin port. Still there is a message error and will not let me charge my phone. My phone is dead so I can’t figure out what the problem is. I have tried different cords. Please help.

Solution: You will usually be getting this error if the phone sensor detects any presence of liquid in the phone charging port. The best thing that you can do right now is  to make sure that this port is dry by using a mini vacuum or hair dryer to dry the port. You can also leave a small tissue in the port for a minute. This tissue will absorb any moisture present in the port. In case the port is already dry and you are still getting the same error then the next step is to check if this is caused by a software glitch.

Follow the additional troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Check if the issue occurs when the phone is started in Safe Mode. If it doesn’t occur in this mode then the problem is most likely caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to have this checked at a service center.

A5 Is Not Charging

Problem: Hi there, I have looked through all other queries but mine is slightly different. I have a A5 , the charger is working but the percentage is not increasing. The phone is switched off now, it’s charging when plugged in but it’s not increasing, its just sitting on 1%, I am unable to turn the phone on because the battery is not sufficient. I am confused as I have no backup for all the data on that phone. A little advice will be reassuring please.

Related Problem: I was answering call with my phone. It made loud and harsh sound and the screen went black. I have tried restarting it. At a point it came on and freezes. Put it to charge and it won’t charge, at a time it displayed battery charging sign but was not charging and the sign freeze on the screen. Sometime didn’t display anything and didn’t charge. It charged to 100% at a time later. It managed to come later and was trying to connect my apps and it freeze again and hasn’t come on or charge ever since.

Related Problem: When I plugged my phone in it my battery was draining so I went to your website and followed the instructions for the safe mode and recovery mode and I cleared the cache on my phone but now it goes to the screen where it’s a white circle to charge but it doesn’t charge for awhile then it does start to charge, and it’s at that screen right now so it’s charging but the first time it did that I turned on my phone and it immediately turned off and did went back to the white circle. Could you please help me? I’m letting it charge for now but I don’t think I fixed the problem. Thank you.

Solution: The first thing that you should do in this case is to clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air making sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in the port. Once this is done use a different charging cord and wall charger to charge the phone.

In case the issue persists then the problem could be caused by a faulty hardware component. I suggest that you bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

A5 Freezes Not Turning On

Problem: My phone froze this morning with only two windows open. It rebooted itself and was fine. I used it for 10 more minutes, then left it for 20 minutes. When I returned to it I couldn’t turn it on or reboot it. I have held the power button for 60 seconds with no response. I have held the power button with the down volume and then power button with the up volume for 60 seconds each with no response. I’m not sure what else to try after searching message boards.

Solution: The best thing to do right now is to remove the microSD card of the phone if you have one installed. Once the card has been removed clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air then charge it for at least 20 minutes using a wall charger. If the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. Once the battery has sufficient charge do a soft reset. This is done by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already caused by a faulty hardware component.
