How to Reset Display Settings on Google Pixel 7

Every smartphone comes with different reset options. Each of these resets has a specific function.

Depicted below is one of the reset options that’s designed to restore the default display settings, particularly the display text and size.   1. To get started, launch the Settings app menu by tapping on the Settings icon from the Apps tray or quick settings panel.

    To access the Apps tray on the Pixel 7, simply swipe up from the bottom of the Home screen. To access the quick settings panel, swipe down from the top of the screen instead.
    The Settings icon is represented by a gear-shaped image so just find and tap on it to get to the Settings app menu.

  2. Once you’re in the Settings menu, scroll to find and then tap on Display.

    Doing so opens the Android 13 Display settings menu with relevant options and features you can use and manage to personalize your phone’s display.

  3. Scroll to find and then tap Display size and text to proceed.

    Another menu opens with separate controls to adjust the display size and text. Beneath these controls are a few display options and a reset button.

  4. To restore the default display settings, just scroll down to the bottom section and then tap the Reset settings button.

    A pop-up window will appear with a warning message.

  5. Read and review the warning prompt and then tap Reset to confirm.

    Your phone’s display size and text preferences will then reset to the original settings.

A quick confirmation message about the display settings reset will appear beneath the display shortly.

By then, all recent changes and customizations you’ve made to the display text and size are deleted. As a result, the default options and settings for the phone’s display size and text are restored.

Performing this reset is usually handy whenever you end up having a messed up system interface following a series of display tweaks. 

Unlike a factory reset, resetting the display settings does not affect any saved data from the internal storage. That said, all your personal files, downloaded contents and other settings won’t be deleted.
